Customers consistently note the enjoyable gameplay, praising the blend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors mechanics and the abundant content. Many appreciate the addition of new characters and the game's portability, although some experienced performance issues, particularly with frame rate and compatibility on certain 3DS models. The smaller screen size was also cited as a potential drawback by some players.

Ever need to destress by killing massive hoards of enemies as your favourite characters from The Legend of Zelda series? This is for you. Better than the Wii U version if only for the fact that it comes with some of the pervious DLC

I've been playing this on the New 3DS and haven't had any issues. Really nice to have this game in portable format. I'd just avoid it if you will be playing on a regular 3DS.

Hyrule Warriors was an interesting idea on the Wii u that turned out reasonably well. But for me, the Wii u version grew kinda boring after a while. Definitly not something I could play for more than a round. The 3ds version, however, an upgrade. Small things like more characters, and switching characters mid-battles, add a surprising amount of depth to the game and keep it from getting too bland ( not too hard to go through enemies just mindlessly hacking away. )
so the new features keep it interesting and fresh, and I find it fun for quick battles when I'm on break from work.

I actually really enjoyed playing this game, it's a good port if you own a New 3ds but if you have an old 3ds then do not buy.

Already owned the Wii U version, best purchase I ever made. Was about to skip this one, but the new stuff and bonuses make it a good deal. I have a New 3DS and the game looks and feels great, so I don't get the pre-review angst about graphics. I'm sorry I waited so long to get it. No opinion on old school 3ds, don't have one.
Lastly, I wanted the digital version, but Best Buy didn't have it for sale?? Why?? No big deal, but pretty strange because they have digital codes for other Nintendo games. How random.

Great game. Possibly better than Wii U version
Just be aware, You need the n3ds and not the original 3ds in order to play this game.

This version of Hyrule Warriors includes everything from the Wii U version, including DLC content like Cia's story and adds new content in the form of new playable characters like Skull Kid and Linkle plus two additional brief campaigns.
I can recommend this game if you are interested in "warriors" style gameplay but be forewarned that this game is only worth playing on "new 3DS." If you have an original model 3DS the game is slow and has far fewer characters on screen than in the enhanced version.

If you love the Legend of Zelda series and its characters, you'll love this game. It may not be as complete or as great as the Wii U version, but it's portable and perfect if you're like me and don't own a Wii U. There's tons of beloved characters from the entire series. This game is not puzzle-based like normal Zelda games, but is really fun and you get to pull off epic moves and mow down huge armies as you progress.

Great port from the Wii U with new characters. Only complaint is that it's almost unplayable when the 3D is turned on.

This game is a very fun portable version of Hyrule Warriors from the Wii U. The game does not look nearly as good as it's home counterpart, however it is still as fun and engaging as these games can be. However, there is some bad character pop-in because of all the enemies on screen and you MUST OWN A NEW 3DS to play this. If not, you will hate this game as it grinds to a halt at times and runs between 15 to 20 frames a second which is very noticeable.

It's a fun game. There is A LOT of hack and slashing going on, and there is rarely ever a moment of downtime. There a quite a few characters (Over 20) to choose from, and nearly all are from the previous games (Ganon, Tetra, Fi, Darunia, Midna, Zant, and Skull Kid to name a few).
So, if you like the Zelda series, and/or Hack and Slash games (like Dynasty Warriors) then this game is for you.

Having already played Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, I put off buying Hyrule Warriors Legends. I decided to give it a shot when it finally went on sale, and I'm glad I did. This version has a several new features and that really improve upon the original game including ability to play multiple characters per stage, and team up on boss battles. The game also includes new characters and levels.

On the surface, I just expected to see a hack n slash casual game, but there waa so much to do in this game, so much yo customize...to complete that I sank over 100 houra into tgis game and could easily do more. Definitely looking at what Omega Force and Intelligent Systems is going to do for the FE Warriors too! For warriors and Zelda fans alike. Must have.

game is pretty good in moderation as it can get a tad repetitive. the story is seems alright so far, and the new characters and combos are pretty fancy and cool. if you like dynasty warriors, Warriors orochi or any other variant then you will like this. This is NOT a dungeon exploring type game like Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, etc.

The folks behind the Dynasty Warriors games have been churning out mash-up games with other franchises with varying degrees of success over the last few years. They've all retained the same core DW experience(one powerful warrior vs. a lot of enemy fodder), but with variations suitable to the franchise in question. This game follows in those same footsteps, and is quite fun in and of itself. But your own experience will color your reception of the game. I've just finished Dragon Quest Heroes, the DQ-DW crossover released on PS4 and PC, and it's a tough act to follow. While this game has a larger cast, and does employ classic Zelda gameplay elements in clever ways, it doesn't deliver the same sort of stream-lined experience that I enjoyed with that other DW mash-up title. Were it not for knowing that they are capable of producing games of slightly greater quality, this game might have scored five stars.
As it is, for fans, this game is a delightful romp through Zelda lore, with characters from all throughout it's long and colorful history. It even adds in extras that were paid DLC for the Wii U version, like Linkle(Link's alternate dimension female version?). If you come into this game with the understanding that it's not at all traditional in terms of puzzle-solving, but expands a great deal on combat, then you're likely to enjoy yourself a great deal. Just be aware of what you're purchasing beforehand. I hope this helps with a bit of my perspective on the game. Happy gaming!

After experiencing the glory that was Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, I knew I'd be buying this expanded 3DS version as soon as it was announced. One of the best Zelda games in a long time, Hyrule Warriors Legends contains the endless content of its Wii U predecessor, plus new characters, new adventure maps, and even new story missions! I can't recommend this game enough!

This game is a little different than the wii u version in regards to added missions and fairy's. The gameplay is just like the console with minor button adjustments. I really enjoy brining this game with me it helps pass time waiting at appointments. A added bonus is if you have the wii u version is a download code to get the extra charecters in the console version.
