good item bought with a discount its a great option to move from Google photos

I have a family member who avidly takes many pictures. I thought this item would be an excellent give for not only the recipient but also to share amongst the family. I have read nothing but favorable reviews. Can't wait to use- I like that this is not web-based. This is why I think this purchase is ideal!

It's great to have a place that I can store my pictures and have total control of.

I bought this on a deal of the day. What a great pickup!!! It backs up all the photos from my phone no matter where I am like a little personal cloud. My wife's phone also. It can sync with online storage accounts like OneDrive or Google Drive. The only thing missing is deduplication detection of photos. Other than that, it's a great alternative to other cloud backups.

Works great, easy to set up! I was a little concerned after reading several other reviews about ease of use and working properly, but I have had no issues with it and it works great. I love the peace of mind knowing my photos and videos are backed up / stored safely.

Great device to manage all your pictures and placed in save location.

I love how easily this connected with my phone so I can back up my photos. It even lets me create folders for events. I just wish I hadn’t waited so long to get one, there’s a lot of photos to sort. I feel so much more secure for having a photo backup and I’m excited to clear a LOT of the images from my phone.

Great product. Super easy to use. Specially now since Google photos is not free anymore. It shows all photos in one place and even from all clouds services. I just wish I could have the photo show up in albums as well. Hopefully they can introduce this feature in a software update.

Almost gave up when at first it didn't even connect to iPhone app. Even the resetting didn't work for some reason. Exchanged the unit and gave another try. Patience is rewarded. Import of Google Photos took 6 hrs. for almost 60 GB. Not bad considering Google Takeout takes 24 hrs. to provide download links. But the cool thing is most meta data for the photos is intact. This helps in sorting by Date taken, which is what most people will use. Didn't create albums though. I was not that keen on albums anyway. Nice thing is export to USB drive from ibi was faster and took less than 15 mins. This is perfect solution for backing up iPhone photos in original quality since Google Photos free storage is limited. So going forward I will backup photos from Phone to ibi and google photos. Plan to periodically backup to USB drive from ibi in case it fails which is bound to happen for mechanical drives. Ibi app provides chromecast support for videos but not for photos! My workaround is to use chrome on laptop to cast to TV.

I believe this device is working as intended but I keep getting messages on my home Wi-Fi network that threats were blocked that came from the Ibi device. It's a mystery to me what that means but it doesn't sound good. I love the concept of a device that automatically backs up photos from various sources. Don't know why this isn't more popular.

Worked for a while. Do not put anything over the top as the fan needs to cool the unit. I think my family broke this as now it does not seem to work, just flashes a green LED when I power it on. do NOT block the fan!!!! Was easy to use while it worked.

I purchased this about a month ago to help organize all of my pictures from our cell phones and computer. So far this is working good and I am still learning about this, I will give a more in depth review as I get more familiar with the ibi.

I am keep running out of memories for my Iphone but this device save my money for upgrading my iphone. Great thing about this, It can save live photos and you can privately share. I like the design but I like even more if they have made it little smaller.

Purchase Ibi to put all my photos on one drive. It works well for me.

moved my pics back down from the cloud and it feels nice to have some type of ownership of media. I wish I would have gotten two for a backup because of the mechanical drive, but ssd have limited writes so idk if that matters anymore.

Great network storage device for beginners. This offers wifi connectivity and an app to access your media as well. There are much better ones out there at a similar cost like the BUFFALO LinkStation 210 2TB Home Office Storage NAS with Hard Drive Included $129.99 (that comes with twice as much storage space but not as simple of an interface) This was good for a short term fix but I will be moving to the Buffalo LinkStation 210 soon. The only reason I give it 3 stars instead of 4 is because shortly after connecting it there were 2 suspicious attempts to connect to my home network from IP addresses outside of the US. That along with being unable to have a thumbnail with some videos, only having 1 TB of storage, suspicious IP address attempting to hack my network specifically through this device were deal breakers for me. For basic photo storage/backup this is a good product though albeit not the most secure.

Purchased theibi Smart Photo Manager so we could store all of our family pictures in a safe place instead of our computer. IBI is easy to use and easy to retrieve photos.

Great product. Easily backup your photos off your phones automatically. You can also use it to backup files from any type of computer. Photos and files can be shared and then easily viewed by any device on your network.
