First the negatives: The information on this page are wrong. 1-It doesn't have 8 USB ports it has 6. 2-There is no DP or DVI outputs as specs above on this page states. There is HDMI and VGA (d-sub). 3-There is no picture of the back of the computer on the product page for a reason. To deceive you. 4-The information on Best Buy is half wrong, on iBUYPOWER site there is NO information. 5-There is no bluetooth. Wi-fi is meh. I use ethernet. Missing information: 1-The motherboard is ASUS Prime H310-Plus. Although bottom grade, still better than what HP, Dell, Lenovo put in their computers. 2-Memory is expandable to maximum 32GB. 3-You can run 1080 monitors fine, 4K unusable at 30Hz refresh rate. Forget about gaming. I don't game so it doesn't matter. If you use a 4K monitor, run it at 1080p 60Hz. If you game get a graphics card. You may not have to replace the power supply. Now the positives: 1-This computer is blazing fast. Credit goes to Intel, not iBUYPOWER, i7-8700 is a beast of a processor. 2-Comes with a Windows installation disc. 3-Good value when on sale. 4-Expandable, upgradable every which way. 5-The case is absolutely stunning. The most beautiful case I've ever seen.

So far I am really liking this computer. This is my first venture into a mid range computer with good specs. I did a bit of research and comparison and landed on this one due to the price, 16GB of memory and i7 processor. The one thing I didn't pay enough attention to was the fact that this does not come with a hard drive, so I'm glad I opted for the bigger SSD. I will be installing an internal hard drive and possibly a graphics card if I get into gaming that requires one. The only semi complaint I have is this thing is big, bigger than the gaming computers I was looking at and bigger than my old clunky computer. I purchased online so I was not aware of this until pickup. But I suppose this will come in handy since I'll be upgrading it in the future, as there is a lot of free space inside. I should mention upon getting the computer home and removing the packing I found this particular one did not have any internal packing like it is supposed to. I'm knocking off one star due to this. I'm a bit concerned that this is an open box item or may have damage from shipment if it's not open box. I'll be calling in to address this. Initially I had a little trouble turning the computer on with the design of the power button, but I may just not be used to it yet. It finally turned on when I pressed the button more on the left side. I will have to play with it to see if there is a defect in the housing. All in all I am enjoying this computer, I spent most of the day on it yesterday. I'm not sure how quickly it powers up as I had the initial set up when I first powered on and updates when I rebooted, so I haven't seen how fast the normal boot up is. It does recover files and open programs very quickly, and keeps up with my usual 20 open Chrome tabs and 5 simultaneously running applications like a champ. I was able to download a new game and 19 expansion packs much faster than I expected. I definitely recommend this computer so far but if you are planning on storing a lot you'll want a hard drive. I'm already using over 100GB after transferring all my files and installing a large game. I got mixed up while comparing other models because I had thought this came with a 2T hard drive. Luckily this is a cheap easy fix. So far I'm happy I chose this model for the price and power it offers.

I was looking for a desktop PC to replace my aging Q9550 core 2 quad desktop (yeah, it's been a while since I upgraded). The iBuyPower from Best Buy seemed to be a good choice for several reasons: 1. Quality motherboard (ASUS Prime H310-Plus) 2. 16 Gb of DDR4 (although 2400Mhz, not 2666Mhz, but coming from 800Mhz DDR2, will I notice??) 3. i7-8700, but not "K" so no overclocking - could swap out if desired. This CPU is great for my needs, I plan to run multiple virtual machines at once, and this has 6 cores/12 threads and will handle this task very well. 4. Plenty of room for upgrades - will easily handle a graphics card, but will likely need to upgrade the PSU as it's only 400w. 16GB can be upgraded to 32GB if I ever feel the need. Some cons: 1. Although the case is cavernous - there is no place to install a DVD drive (I have an external, so a non-issue for me) 2. SSD drive is a WD "Green" drive, not bad, but Write performance is pretty low (87MB/s). I'll be dropping in my Samsung 860 EVO to replace this primary drive and use the WD as a backup. 3. There appear to be only 2 X 2.5" drive mount points (one taken by the 240GB SSD), although there are a few holes on the back wall that might line up with the bottom of a 3.5" drive. 4. Description and box state there is a keyboard and mouse included - only found a keyboard, no sign of a mouse.

    Fast, expandable PC

I will start this review by saying this PC is a replacement for one in which a capacitor melted on the motherboard (different brand). So I had a power supply, graphics card, one terabyte hard drive, and a DVD writer to connect to this PC. The case is huge so there is ample room to work inside it to easily install these devices. However there is no way to mount hard drive for the DVD drive in the case. For now the hard drive just sits in the bottom of the case and I just connect the DVD drive when it needed. If I need a more permanent DVD Drive I will purchase a USB drive, which good ones run only about $25. The cables in the case are well organized and looks very neat inside. The performance is outstanding. If you purchase this PC be ready to add a graphics card and a larger hard drive. The power supply is a 400 watt power supply, which is marginal if you add a decent graphics card. There is space to mount another solid state drive in the case and plenty of USB ports for all my external devices.

    Can't connect a second Monitor

I got this for my office to use with 2 Dell Ultra Sharp monitors. The listed spec says this one has HDMI, Display Port, DVI & VGA ports. I selected this model because this one has core i7 and 240GB SSD, and I thought I could use HDMI & Display port to connect with each of the monitors. When arrived, I see this has only one HDMI port on the back. No Display port, no DVI, not even a VGA port. (Seriously?) There is a USB C port, nowhere in the user manual says if it can be used to connect to a screen. Checked the mother board company website (ASRock), they also don't provide much info. I can't use my second screen.

iBuyPower ARC945 i7-8700 @ 3.20GHZ 16.0 GB My old computer died Sunday night, I saw this on sale for $699 at Best Buy and ordered it Monday morning and it was delivered mid-day Tuesday. This is a no frills fast computer. Plenty of power with a 6 core i7 and SSD hard drive. The case is completely empty, in order to add a harddrive I had to use the cage from my old computer. There is no place for a DVD drive or media reading -- the case has no openings or cutouts other than the PCI slots. It comes with 2 DVDs but you will have to use an external DVD drive for them. The DVDS are: a Win-10 reinstallation disk and an Asus hardware support disk. I did not get a mouse with mine.

    Amazing PC for a pre-build

Lets start off by talking about whats inside the box, The CPU is an I7-8700 not the K version so there is no overclocking on this system, however you can always upgrade in the future if you choose. This comes with 16 Gigs of DDR4 RAM which if you know PC building you understand that it costs a pretty penny. There is no graphics card which is why I recommend this box for people coming from older DDR3 Sockets but already have a GPU and PSU. A GPU + PSU are the only thing you are going to need to make this boy play the latest games at a decent frame rate. I slapped a 1080ti in there and have no issues. A good pick up to save time + money

I purchased the iBuyPower ARC 945 with the intent of having a hassle free upgrade path readily available and it did not disappoint. The ARC 945 is a "barebones" PC -- it actually comes prepacked with everything an everyday user might need (CPU, RAM, an OS, PSU, a super-fast Solid State Drive, et cetera), and almost everything a gamer might desire (it does not come with a GPU!). After tinkering with the innards, I managed to fit a brand new EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti inside with a new 550W PSU from ThermalTake. This turned the ARC 945 from a "barebones" PC to a gamer's first foray into the PC realm. I am extremely excited to use this baby for years to come.

    Huge Dented Case

Sorry, I'm not going to give a review of the performance of this computer as I never hooked it up, however, I hope this might clarify or correct some of the info describing it. First of all there are only a total of 6 USB ports (4 of which are 3.0) not 8. Secondly the case is huge 18 5/8" tall (not 17") and 18 1/4" deep and it is "off white" not white. Finally, either the shipping was poor or the quality control is lacking as mine came with a small dent on the front panel. If you like or can put up with a complete "plain jane" case, this computer (given it's components) might be for you. However, the dent, as well as the size and lack of the character of the case caused me to purchase a different computer.

Great unit if you know how to upgrade graphics/network. Wireless Adapter is junk so you will have to replace but any AC usb adapter will work and get u necessary speeds. Also you will need to add a discreet graphics card but case is big enough to support any unit and when i added my AMD card i was able to play even the latest games at max graphics with no problems. Highly recommend if you know how to upgrade components, even if you dont best buy will install for 29.99(free if you have total tech support). Best deal if you dont want to spend 2k plus for similiar models and are willing to make some upgrades.

I was looking to upgrade my CAD work station. The i7 processor and 16 GB caught my attention. The built in graphic card was the only downside. But I upgraded with a Nvideo GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card and the system has worked flawlessly. No bloatware installed and room to add additional hard drives. One tip, the built it wifi is just a dongle connected to a USB cord. I couldn't get signal, so I just unhooked from the interior, removed one of the PCI slot covers in the back and taped the dongle/cord to the exterior of the case. Now I get a great signal.

    Garbage computer, useless customer service

The impressive speed of the computer is undermined by the fact it won't import photos, rendering it useless. Tried to get the problem solved by contacting iBUYPOWER, which has to be the most inept company I've ever dealt with. Try chatting via tech support: literally 20 minutes between responses that didn't help at all. Then, call customer service and it's, "We don't help with that issue." Bottom line, I wasted nearly a grand on a machine that can't perform the simplest of functions that entry-level computers perform with aplomb.

I bought this tower to build off of and so far its been great for that. While the pc doesn't come with much I am impressed with what it did come with. Mine came with a Asus MOBO that seems to be no slouch. I also appreciate the amount of room in the case. Aside from adding my graphics card from my previous tower, the only thing I would upgrade on this pc is the power supply. It's rated for 400w and has a 6pin power connecter... You could probably run a GTX 1060 on that PSU, but I plan upgrading to a stronger PSU when I upgrade from my GTX 1050 ti to an RTX.

This is my first PC and I have bought it to upgrade. I will be putting a GTX 1060 6gb SC and a new power supply. I will also be adding RAM and a hhd as well. It seems to be a great computer for this as I did not want to build one from the ground up and it has a very large case for expansion. I had an issue with the RAM not being seated properly out of the box. It would not boot up but after some trouble shooting I realized it was just the RAM not being correctly seated. Very nice PC overall and I recommend this to anyone who would like to get into PC gaming.

The iBUYPOWER tower pc is a fast powerhouse of a computer. The 256GB SSD drive is sufficient for the boot requirements. I bought an external 4TB USB 3.0 drive for $69 and pointed My Documents, Picture, Download, Music, Video and Desktop folders there. So - if I ever need to change PC's - all my data is there. The internal video is not bad for basic gaming.. like minecraft or fortnite. The unit screams in these games. Browsing and Office applications opwerate quickly. Overall a fantastic value for an I7 based machine at 3.2Ghz, an SSD drive and 16GB of RAM!

This computer is extremely fast from boot - to - use. The SSD drive provides and almost instant-on system. I added a 4TB USB drive from BestBuy for file storage. Window 10 allows you to move your user files to the external drive easily. That way, this system is now extremely usable at a much lower cost that purchasing a system with an installed large storage drive. The graphics certainly work fine for an on-board graphics card. Myh child plays fortnite, minecraft and many other online games with ease. This is a great buy!

I had been looking at this computer for a couple of months and finally bought it when it went on sale. I bought it for 3 reasons - I wanted the Intel i7 processor, 16GB memory and a solid state drive and as an added bonus the tower is white which goes perfectly in my office. I love this computer. It's super fast and was super easy to set up. It has endless possibilities for upgrading. Really happy with my purchase. Just wish the mouse that came with it was wireless.

Bought while it was on sale for $630 it was a steal even though it doesn’t come with a graphics card! i7-8700k, 16 ram, 240 ssd, it’s a fast pc! And the case isn’t for show no tempered glass but it is still very sleek with the white!! Even without a gpu 5 stars because the price allows me to save for more components!!

Have only had it one day but so far no complaints. I picked it up at Best Buy everything was in the box. Booted it let it do the windows updates and it has been perfect all day. I chose this so that I could add to it. Its basic but an I7 processor and 16g ram it has plenty of speed without a dedicated Video card. If you are a gamer you will add one if you have basic computer needs and hate when a pc lags or hangs you will not get that with this one.

Wow what can I say, this PC is a beast. Everything was perfect and the setup took less than an hour. Upgraded the power supply and popped in a 1060 6gb and man this thing is quite literally a powerhouse. Runs all game maxed 60 FPS+. I always build my own pc but found this GEM at bestbuy for $829.99 and man I really couldn't be more happier! Great job IBUYPOWER!
