    I wanted to see this film at the movies but missed going while it was there. When it was released on Blu- ray I wanted to see if the actress gave a good enough performance to win the 'Best Supporting Actress' award. I don't think she did.

    IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK is the story of a young woman who wishes to clear the name of her wrongly accused boyfriend before their child is born. It's also the story of what life is like on Beale Street, which won Regina King an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. This romantic drama does a good job of weaving in the various stories with a great ensemble cast.

    Was a bit disappointed in the movie. Acting was good but beginning was a bit confusing & just not much of a story to remember. Previews led me to believe it would be much better.

    I feel as if the movie should come with a warning that it is going to be depressing. There’s hardly any hope and the few times there is any it is offset by the story of hatred

    Very disappointed...not pleased with the pace (too slow) of the film, let alone the story line. Nothing beats the book! Smh... Not his best work...
