Customers frequently mention the Sleep HR Activity Tracker's sleep tracking feature as a great solution for monitoring their sleep patterns. They also appreciate its accuracy, with comments suggesting that it is highly sensitive and precise. However, some users have concerns about its connectivity, as it occasionally disconnects from Bluetooth, and the lack of a dedicated app for the sleep tracker. Additionally, a few customers have noted that it can drain their phone's battery overnight.

Interesting way to visualize your sleep behavior

This is my first sleep tracker and it's been an interesting and intriguing experience. The iFit device is small and compact and stays hidden away under your mattress. Included is the disc, the power plug, and the USB cord to attach the disc device to the power plug.
The installation of the device is pretty simple. Place it under your mattress in an area that would be approximately near where your chest would be when you're sleeping. Then you'd need your smartphone to connect to the unit via the iFit app for bluetooth connectivity. Pretty easy to setup and install on your phone.
I had used it a few nights so far and it's been pretty accurate to monitor my heart rate, breaths per minute, and overall sleep types through the night. My Apple Watch series 3 keeps my continual heart rate and I was impressed to see the iFit match the heart rate to that. Overall I was intrigued by the concept of seeing how I'm sleeping overnight. I was wowed by the fact that I was given a graph model showing my types of sleep, such as deep, light, REM, and awake. I honestly don't know what happens when I'm sleeping because I feel like when I'm down for the count I don't wake up until the morning. Having this visually show me I was impressed to see the up and down types of sleeps my body manages through the night. I'm able to see a score of how I slept and challenge myself to maintain a high score with good habits. I like the graph chart showing the various sleep methods. There is also a breakdown showing how you slept and how many times and minutes you had a deep sleep or got out of bed for example. Pretty in depth details to how your sleep is moment by moment.
Overall I'm not sure if this is truly useful information to me since sleep is sleep for me. If I'm tired, I'm going to get my sleep one way or another. The chart can show various ways I'm sleeping, but what can I truly do to effect the outcome of any of that? It's sleep, so it's not like it's a performance I can effect like I would if I'm training for a marathon. I wouldn't say this is something that I would love to have in my life, but it's a novelty item more or less. If you're techie and want to have a visual of your sleep behavior than this is the product for you. For me, it's been pretty neat to have in my life to see how I'm sleeping and when I should cut out coffee from my diet or not eat a heavy meal so close to bed.
Is this all truly accurate information, or is it smoke and mirrors that are feeding you "information" to make you think you're doing this or that during your sleep. I'm reluctant to be gullible to information that is given to me, so I'm doubtful how accurate this overall chart is and how it's going to truly impact my life for the betterment of it.
One area of concern I would maybe have is the near proximity of the bluetooth sensor under my mattress over time. I wouldn't know if it's entirely safe for my overall health. It's advertised as safe and non invasive, but constant use of 8 hours an evening would concern me. This device is pulsing bluetooth signals up through the mattress into your body to read your heartrate and movements. As much as I love technology I am a bit concerned over the long term usage on my health. Another area of concern is the phone battery taking a hit with being connected to the iFit device all night. I have a newer iPhone and a new battery lasts a long time. I noticed that with this connected overnight my phone was draining out about half the battery sitting on my nightstand nearby. I wasn't too happy to see my phone battery taking a hit just because I was connected to this sleep tracker. Something to be aware of if your phone is older and the battery drains out a bit quicker.
I'd recommend this to anyone that loves tech and wants to keep tabs on their health.

For what comes in the box, I was truly amazed at what it can track. Just a small plate sized plastic disc, USB cord and power adapter that you place under your mattress and it tracks so much. I was skeptical at first, as I have a fairly thick memory foam style mattress. However, after downloading the app, logging in with my iFit account and connecting to the tracker, it was tracking heart rate and respiratory rate in no time. With the iFit sleep app running throughout the night, I had all kinds of data that makes me wonder how accurate it can be. With some comparison between my watch and my VPAP, because I have sleep apnea, the average heart rate and respiratory rate was pretty spot on. For the most part, even during moments of increased heart rate, my watch and the tracker were pretty close. The directions also show the example of people sleeping on their backs, however, I am a side sleeper and it still mostly tracked the data.
However, there are still some things about this that kind of makes me question if it is really worth the current retail price. First off, all of the real tracking is only done through your mobile device when the app is running. Meaning, if you forget to open the app, your battery dies or gets disconnected throughout the night, the data is missing. I’ve had a couple times that it required me to unplug/plug the device to make it be recognized in the app again. Another thing is that it seems to have a strange way of tracking data, for some nights it listed me exiting the bed 16 times, yet I know I slept throughout the whole night. A couple nights, once I woke up, I even checked the time to see if it tracked it well enough, but the time it showed as “Wake” or “Movement” did no correlate with that time. A couple mornings now, I check the app shortly after waking and my sleep score shows something like 29, but an hour later it shows 69. I assume this is because it wants to make sure it counts as awake, and not just exiting the bed for a brief moment.
If you have a smart phone or tablet and usually keep it plugged up when you go to bed, this may be a great tool to help you try and get better sleep. This is also a whole lot less intrusive than having a watch or chest strap on for the whole night. If anything, it may make you realize how little sleep you are actually getting and take some of the advice from the tips it provides. As with most electronic monitoring devices, it is not a replacement for actual medical health advice. This is also not going to directly help you sleep any better as all of the effort is on you. This includes the same things doctors will tell you, such as little to no caffeine or alcohol in the evening, exercise, but not too late, and getting to bed at a reasonable time. All things that I am personally guilty of and still fail to change. But, I’m hard pressed to say it worth the price.

iFit - Sleep HR Activity Tracker
I already know I have sleep apnea and I already have the CPAP machine to intervene and correct my poor breathing rhythm. I delayed for too many years getting the crucial overnight sleep study. That was just silly and only delayed getting a good night sleep (for me and my wife). This iFit sleep tracker lets you monitor your own sleep patterns as well capturing your heart and breathing rhythms as well as gross body movements. It’s hard to imagine a better approach to a completely NON-intrusive home sleep monitor. I’m trying to contain my enthusiasm for this device. It provides an immense amount of information.
SETUP took a few minutes to un-package and plug and place the sensor. It took only a few more minutes to download the iFIT Sleep App and wirelessly link my phone to the sensor. That’s it. You need to have the App operating on your phone and the phone within bluetooth range of your bed. (My iPhoneXR was about 20 feet away in another room on its charging cradle.) You’re ready. But, be patient. You won’t learn anything more until the next morning. And then . . . WOW. That sensor is accurately capturing heart rate, overall body muscle activity, and breathing. It’s not monitoring brain activity but simply extrapolating from this collection of data to portray your sleep rhythms which are also timed and displayed. All sleep information is provided and explained as text or in graphs. All this information is kept and made accessible from a calendar. I captured a first night’s data by taking screens shots off of my iPhoneXR.
DISLIKES? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
SUMMARY: My medical CPAP machine offers only minimal data (time with mask on and number of abnormal sleep events) but that data corresponds with iFIT’s data output. It’s likely that a controlled comparison of this iFIT data with a sleep lab study will show that iFIT’s information is not completely accurate. It’s definitely not a substitute for a doctor monitored sleep study. The iFIT cannot capture brain waves, eye movements, blood oxygen, or snoring. My personal experience, however, does match what iFIT is showing me. The iFIT represents a giant step towards raising some questions you might pursue or offering some evidence that you’re on the right track. If it provokes you to get a medical sleep test, that’s even better. This is a perfect way to monitor your sleep quality as long as you understand its limits.
Highest recommendation.

Setup is very easy for iFit - Sleep HR Activity Tracker. It came with iFit - Sleep HR activity tracker, USB cable and charger along with manuals. I have downloaded iFit Sleep App in my iPhone and it identified the senor automatically using Bluetooth. I have placed the activity tracker under the mattress and ran the cables very carefully under the bed.
I have opened the app on my iPhone before going to bed and it recognized within few mins and was showing the status as "In Bed". I was using the phone for few mins in bed and next day morning checked the results. I was amazed with the level of data provided in the summary. It captured heart rate, body muscle activity and breathing. It also provided sleep score for the day.
It shows the data either in text or graph view and accessible from a calendar view as well. This activity tracked provided lot of valuable data like Average Heart Rate, Average Respiratory Rate, Awake Time, Light Sleep, Deep Sleep, REM Sleep, Sleep Time, Times Work Up, Time to Fall Asleep, Exits out of bed, Sleep Efficiency and Time in bed.
FreshWake™ smart alarm is another great feature where you can set the time frame when you'd like to rise, and the sleep sensor will wake you during the lightest part of your sleep cycle. The built-in smart alarm has two settings to choose from. iFit - Sleep HR Activity Tracker is an excellent option to monitor the sleep activity and highly recommend to everyone.

Impressive Data - no what to do with it?

I was underwhelmed and skeptical when I picked up the iFit Sleep HR Activity Tracker. I mean, it's a plastic disk approximately the size of your hand with wires and a small (tablet charger size) transformer. What could it possibly do?! Second, I have a very thick memory foam mattress on a wood slat substructure. I couldln't possibly work.
My preconceptions were wrong.
It is inconspicuous (as it should be) and it seems to be remarkably sensitive and accurate.
After placing it under my mattress per the location directions (tougher to lift the mattress than any other part of the operation) I plugged it in and downloaded the app. Open an account and synch with my phone- and lay down to test.
Seconds later the app picks up my heart rate. Shortly thereafter, it's actively tracking my respiration. Cool!
The next morning I'm impressed with the very accurate tracking of time awake, out of bed, etc.
I did some reading about normal numbers, thinking (and proving) I don't get the right types of sleep. Cool too. Now my only problem is "what do I do??
Full disclosure - the app does provide a "smart alarm" feature that will wake you up during what's called a "fresh wake window". I haven't tried this yet, but intend to after I've recorded a few more days of regular sleep data.

For those of us who like to monitor our health, this is another very useful tool to keep track of our sleep. It’s quite accurate and not as intrusive as my watch, which I’ve used to track my sleep. It has a very useful and simple app that explains those fancy medical terms as seen in the pictures. Set up is very easy and straightforward. I’m not a fan of long cables which this one comes with. I wish it came with a rechargeable battery instead.

PROs:
- Unobtrusive sensor (about the size of saucer plate) fits neatly between box spring and mattress--no wires, straps, cords, or other devices to wear/attach to your body!
- Not sure how this thing does it, but it actually works and it's amazing; picks up your movement, breathing and heartbeat through all that bedding material--we have a 12" pillow-top mattress with 4" memory foam topper above that and the readout from the app still matched the heart rate displayed on the Apple Watch beat for beat
- Not sure how this thing does it, but it also manages to keep the bed's occupants separate--the app readouts were clearly only reading my wife's vitals while the tilt sensor didn't seem too sensitive to my own tossing and turning that I was feigning from across the mattress
- Companion app provides compelling overlays and roll-ups depicting your heart rate, respiratory rate and movement to help you visualize patterns and pick out trends in time spent awake, out of bed, or in light, REM, and deep sleep
- Simple setup, user-friendly app and comes with all the hardware necessary (in theory--see my summary comments) to get you up and running--or down and resting--as the case may be
- When it works--it really does work wonderfully well--and the rich data you gather will give you a leg up on any actions that might be needed on your part to manage or improve the quality of your sleep (relaxation, meditation, breathing strips on the nose, orthopedic pillows, a visit to a medical professional/ENT consult, etc.)
CONs:
- Sigh--yet another companion app for another device that requires me to create another login and password. It wasn't that it was difficult (for the record, it wasn't--account creation was a snap), but it would be nice if I could use at least something out of the box these days that doesn't necessitate another trip to my password manager
- Related to the issue above, there were several nights where the app wouldn't let me past the login screen because the "server could not be reached"...yikes, not a good usability choice when the companion app makes no accommodation for offline use
- Connects to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth and essentially keeps a live connection running via the app all night (i.e. running down your battery all night). You're told this up front right in the manual and can easily remedy the situation by leaving your phone or tablet plugged in so it's not a BIG deal, but we missed a few nights' worth of data because we forgot to open the iFit app just before going to sleep. Seriously, how hard would it have been to put a cheap micro SD card or flash memory module inside and just transmit night's/week's worth of data on command when connected?
- Not a big deal, you do need to be mindful of placement because the sensor pad is powered via micro-USB cable connected to a wall charging unit--use is therefore limited by the location of your nearest power outlet relative to the length of the USB connecting cable to get the sensor pad under your mattress
Summary review:
This little unit can provide you a surprising amount of data concerning your sleeping habits and physiology in an incredibly unobtrusive fashion. Naturally, there are trade-offs to a full-blown sleep study complete with wires, electrodes, sleep mask, etc. For example, the iFit sensor cannot measure oxygen intake, only respiration rate. Heart rate measurements are probably pretty accurate overall, though it requires just a slight leap of faith on your part unless you also have a properly calibrated heart monitor on hand to verify how well the iFit is doing...but in our experience, the unit is at least as accurate as the HR readings taken directly against the skin by an Apple Watch. And no, the monitor itself it won't correct any problems for you if you experience issues during the night (though you can at least set up some custom alarms in the companion app to accommodate your unique sleep patterns).
But for what it does do, it does without anything at all strapped or stuck to your body, head, skin, fingers, etc...that alone is a pretty remarkable feat given how much material is probably sitting between you and the sensor when it's finally tucked away under the mattress. And the data it spits out when you're done gives you valuable insight into what's going on when you crawl into bed and help you identify opportunities to better manage or treat (self-help or via medical practitioner) sleep-related issues. Bottom line, if you're curious about, or in need of, a way to self-diagnose or manage your sleep habits and activities based on some pretty key physiological indicators, I can't think of a simpler way to do it than the iFit.
So given the positive word picture, why the relatively tepid 3-star rating? Well...I wanted desperately to like/use this unit, I really did--and your experience might be totally different from mine. But over the course of just a week and a half, my sensor went from providing me "hey, this is actually pretty cool data" to "rats, it only grabbed 2 hours of data before disconnecting from my phone," to finally "oh, for cryin' out loud, I can't even connect it to anything any more." It started when I unpacked things...two AC adapters in the box, but no charging cable as the instructions promised. No worries I thought...just a mistake in packaging, and I have TONS of spare micro-USB cables lying around (though in truth, I have no idea just how long the provided cable really is--maybe the one that's supposed to come in the box is long enough not to have to worry about distance to an outlet). I grab a few cables of varying length and get to work. For the first few days of use, no problems at all--quick to connect, rock solid signal, and compelling, night-long sleep data comes out the other end. For that reason alone, I would recommend this unit if it suits your needs as I haven't seen anything else like it that is able to do what it seems to do without so much as a stray wire needing to come near a sleeping human.
But then things started going bad--disconnects over Bluetooth that yielded data for only 2 hours into my sleep, then 30 minutes, then 10. Maddeningly, I could see the sensor in the list of Bluetooth devices and even connect to it on my phone (with the accompanying blue light on the sensor to indicate a successful connection). But then I head into the app and immediately am greeted with a "sensor disconnected" warning...despite clearly seeing a successful connection in my iPhone's settings menu. Or worse still, I get some data for a few minutes, assume all is well, and blissfully let my phone's screen turn off only to discover later that the sensor had disconnected again while I wasn't looking. So I try another AC adapter (they did accidentally put a second in the box after all), then another cable, then another iPhone, a tablet, I even tried running the sensor off a beefy 26800 mAh battery pack and a 6-port 60W Anker charging station, all to try accounting for possible faults in the hardware chain that could the culprit--but nothing lasted the full night, and eventually nothing worked at all, I couldn't even connect via Bluetooth or see the sensor as available for pairing/connecting. I can't imagine there's any magic pixie dust in the micro-USB cable that is normally supplied with the iFit sensor that would have changed things, and given that you connect to the sensor puck via Bluetooth once it IS powered up, I can only assume I received a bum sensor with a Bluetooth radio that gradually failed rather than went out all at once.
So do I hold this experience against the product--I mean, I could have sent it back to get another one as it seems likely the one I have is faulty. But the lesson it taught me is part of the reason I shaved some stars off the rating. It's a sleep monitor--it is, by definition, designed to operate during a time when you're not able to attend to any faults that might occur in the system. But that's the problem in this product's design--it is virtually intolerant to any faults along the way. Hiccup in house power, hiccup in BT connection, forget to open the app at bedtime, your phone battery dies because it's not plugged in, trip on the cable snaking out from under your mattress on your way to the bathroom and jerk it just enough to jiggle in the power socket--whatever your poison, if there's any sort of electrical or BT disconnect of any kind, there is simply no way to recover from that error until you're awake again and alert enough to open and check your phone and see that something is amiss. Still...so long as you've got that Goldilocks combination of factors working properly, you'll probably like what you see. Here's hoping the iFit revision 2 has at least SOME onboard memory to store and forward your data when needed rather than tie up your phone all night long with only the hopes that nothing else goes wrong while the lights are out...

Since I have been going for CBTI for my insomnia, I have been keeping sleep logs. Half awake when I enter anything, I often can't read what I have written or really ascertain if I was just awake or sleeping very lightly. This device obviously can't measure REM sleep, but it does measure respiration, heartbeat, and getting out of bed and from that I guess it uses an algorithm to estimate REM and deep sleep. When I wake up and compare what I have recorded with what it has tracked, I feel it is more accurate.

This item is a great item in theory. However, it is dependent upon an app - iFit Sleep. When I purchased this sensor, it was advertised as being compatible with iFit Sleep app via Apple App Store or Android. I have iPhone and iPads. Upon receipt, I went to download the app and it is no longer available via Apple. It is also not available via Android, but it can be obtained via a Third Party App for android. I do not have an Android. I spent various efforts trying to reach the manufacturer (Icon) and finally found someone to talk to me. They confirmed that the app is no longer available. I then went back to Best Buy and they said I could not longer return. If you have an Apple product, this is an absolutely waste of money. If you have an android, be prepared to obtain the app outside of the App Store. EItehr way, Best Buy is selling a product that is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

In order to use this product you need to download an app to your phone. The problem is that the company removed the app from the app store some time ago (to fix bugs) and they have not fixed the bugs and replaced the app. So there is no way to use this product. And there is no date as to when the app will be released. Customer service won't answer emails as they don't have the answer.

Great Device, App needs an update

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
There are few things that I run into during a setup, that cause me to wonder if a device is worth it.
This was one of them. I gave this device 4 stars because of the app experience. I had the hardest time trying to get an account registered, due to the apps inability to reach the service. The submit button was grayed out for days; leading me to wonder if the company was still in business. The app is also not formatted to fit and iPhone X, so be prepared for a lot of unused space on the top and bottom of the screen. When you look at the Apple App Store, you'll notice that most reviews are a year or two old, with no mention of an update in the last two years. Version 1.2 has been out over 2 years at this point.
The website is a bit vague on the details of how one signs up for the service, if the app isn't able to complete the task. If you go to the website, the only option available is "Coach" which has a $12/minimum fee for an individual, and makes 0 mention of the "Sleep" app.
The privacy policy and terms links in the app are also dead links. They go to a Zendesk knowledge base website that gives you an "Oops" page. As of today, this has yet to be corrected.
After over a week of trying to setup the device, the app was finally functional (albeit with the broken links), but once signed up, you're greeted with a "Free" account that can be used for the Sleep device.
The setup process took only a couple of minutes. Simply plug the device into power, place it under the mattress as indicated in the manual and setup screens, and make sure bluetooth is on. The discovery of the device only took a few seconds, and after a couple of taps, you're in business.
It's almost odd how the device is able to pick up such clear readings of things, that you wonder if there is magic happening. The heart rate information takes a bit to calibrate, but once it does, it's clear that it's working. I even used a paired Apple Watch, from a different phone, and was able to see the heart rates were almost identical as they both did their scans. If you do this, be prepared for the 1 to 2 second lag from the app, as the Watch is more on demand in it's updating.
It's able to tell when you're not in bed, and when you start waking up. It will then provide you with a "Sleep Score" which you can use to see the effectiveness of your sleep cycle. As a light sleeper, my average score was around 75 with an average heart rate of 72. There insights provided in the app are telling. Giving you everything from Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, and detects movement.
If you sleep with pets, you'll notice the movement chart become a bit erratic, as your pet tends to re-adjust frequently. I didn't notice this with one small dog (a maltese), but was apparent when I had 3 dogs in bed with me, thus skewing the data a bit. However, for the most part, it was pretty accurately able to show when I got up in the middle of the night. Note: You can zoom in with pinch and zoom on the graph to get more detail.
For all the problems with the app experience, early on, I must say that this device is pretty awesome! I'm already using the alarm features, which play a tone, and starts waking you just before your alarm, when it figures out you're already waking up. I've found this feature alone to be worth it; since using the device, I'm waking up a bit more refreshed, and not so foggy. You can set the schedule for these alarms easily within the app, and I've also noticed that it depends on the volume of your device, not the ringer/alert volume. So, if the device is on silent and you have the volume toggled all the way down, the app won't be able to wake you.
If you're at all curious how you're sleeping at night, and want a coach to help guide you, this is a great way to start. I'm already getting alerts for bed time, and the app easily discovers the device upon launch. I just wish the app was up to date, and had the right privacy and terms links at least updated, or re-enabled. I would, however, recommend this device to anyone wanting to perform their own basic sleep study. It's not going to cure Sleep Apnea, but it will do a pretty good job of gathering the data you need to help you sleep better. It's already working for me!

Incredible. Not Intrusive Sleep Monitoring
|

I was a little skeptical at first that this iFit would live up to the promise. The short answer is YES, it works exactly as described and is even better than you could hope. There's a few setup caveats but otherwise the iFit is the best non-intrusive sleep monitor I have ever used.
A few tips up front if you're looking to buy. The iFit needs plug-in power to operate. It's not battery powered or rechargeable. The included USB charging cable is long enough to reach across a room. Yes, the iFit measures accurately with 2 people in a bed. Yes, it measures from under the mattress. I tested 1 night under my mattress topper and another night under the mattress proper. Yes, the data is accurate. I cross checked the hear rate measurement against my Apple Watch. Yes, it's non intrusive. You wouldn't know it's under your mattress and there's nothing you need to connect to your person. Yes, you do need to have your phone on and near the iFit for measurement.
Setup. It took less than 5 and sign up for an account in the app. Pairing was easy. Placement under the matter is where your chest is, which is straight forward as it should be a few inches below your pillow.
Review: I have been using the iFit for a few nights now and I am impressed. I have always suspected I have sleep issues and to have it confirmed that I am not getting deep sleep is oddly reassuring. I plan the iFit to coach me on how to be less sleep deprived and sleep better. The HR and breathing measurements were accurate (cross checked with Apple Watch). I like that I no longer have to wear an Apple Watch to bed. A great feature is the ability to have the iFit gently wake you when you're in light sleep so you feel more refreshed.
The manufacturers are at pains to point out this is not a medical device, but as portable self-diagnostic and management tool the iFit is hard to beat. One of the things I particularly love is the iFit is portable. I travel for work and I am looking forward to using the iFit when I am away to make sure I am properly managing my sleep.

I am an employee of Best Buy. My name is Dominic and I am a Sr. Specialist with the Sales Operations team. I am a current user of this product and assisted in building and conducting the training for our in store sales consultants. This is a great solution for tracking your sleeping patterns. It is as easy as plugging it in, placing it under your mattress and downloading the app to your smartphone. The app for this device is very easy to set up and gives you a sleep summary outlining your sleep rating, how much time you spent in each stage of sleep, your average heart and respiratory rate, and much more. It even provides suggestions on how to improve your sleep based on the summary of the previous night. There is no need for a wearable device. The only downside is if your phone restarts (such as after an overnight update) or shuts down from a dead battery, the app will disconnect without warning or notification and you will not get an accurate reading. Despite this rare occurrence, I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking to track and improve their sleep patterns.

This device delivers what it promises by passively measuring heart rate, respiration, and motion to measure sleep quality. It does a nice job of showing you the data from each night’s sleep, indicating REM, deep sleep, light sleep, awake time, and more. It also gives you a calendar view so you can enter journal notes for that night before you go to bed. But I dropped a star because you cannot edit that journal after the fact. There have been times I wanted to add notes after my sleep to comment things that woke me up during the night, for example, unexpected noise, room temperature etc.
That all said, I’m not sure how to make best use of the product. For example, if you try ways to improve sleep, you’ll know your methods are working because you’ll sleep better. Do you need this device in that case?

I have not not had sleep data since I changed from a Fitbit to an Apple wathc because I need to charge my watch at night so I am unable to to get any data. The iFit device allows me to get some date that I once liked to get from my Fitbit. It seems like the heartrate data is very similar to the data produced by the Apple Watch. It also tracks your breathing patterns and sleep patterns. It was easy to set-up and pair to the app. The one thing I do not like is having to keep the app open to track data on your phone. It really seems like it should be able to do this without having to have the app open all night. I think the price for this seems a bit high compared to other devices out there. It is a good device to get data that if you can't get it from your watch.

Outstanding with Two Annoying Issues

I absolutely have no doubts that this is very accurate. I have tried it for three consecutive nights and judging from my own awareness, it is accurate when it comes to how many times I wake up, it is spot on when I get up – twice last night. The sleep quality reflected exactly how I felt in the morning. Two bad nights accompanied by a great one. Please do not take this as medical advice but I am happier with this Sleep HR than with my formal sleep study. I have been to a clinic twice and the results were mixed and confusing since I cannot sleep with so many wires and aware that I am being watched.
I was skeptical it would work through my 20-inch mattress and also about how accurate it would be but I am deeply impressed. What is equally important is that I do not even have to think about it. It is just there doing its job.
Unfortunately, there were two annoying issues. The first was that no matter how many times I tried, the create account option on the app would not complete. Going directly to the site did not help because all it showed was a sign-up option for a paid service they have, requiring a subscription not related to the Sleep HR. I tried using the app one last time but then I made a mistake on my birth year and voila! It created the account and everything worked. Last night though, the device kept disconnecting from Bluetooth on my iPhone every 30 seconds or so. iFit site recommended to log out and log in again. This time, it would not recognize my log in and “the forgot password” option would not find my e-mail address. I then tried to recreate my account and it would not work again until I purposely told it I was born in 1990 just like I had before by mistake. Boom! It worked and I have not had any problems since. I concluded there are some bugs: One, with “create account” you cannot be born before 1990. Two, the account is not actually created. Three, something wrong with the Bluetooth/iPhone/App connectivity.
Five stars for accuracy and simplicity. Five stars for knowing the best time to wake me up when on a light sleep pattern. One star for the bugs above, which I think are easy to fix by software upgrade and they should do it very soon. For that reason, my overall rating is four but aside from the bugs, my satisfaction is ten. Everybody should have one, even if he/she have no sleep apnea. Soon, devices like these will be communicating directly with our health providers and helping them diagnose many diseases and their causes, even before they happen, allowing for proactive treatment. Great product!!!

The iFit - Sleep HR Activity Tracker - White is a great device for analyzing your sleep pattern. The iFit must first be paired with your android device to allow the syncing of data from the sensor to your android device. The iFit sleep app gives the tools to analyze your sleeping pattern by tracking data before and during sleep, producing a sleep summary that in turn creates a sleep score to make you aware of your sleeping deficiencies. The sleep summary entails heart and respiratory rates, awake time, light to deep sleep, REM sleep, sleep time, times woke up, time to fall asleep, exit of bed, sleep efficiency, and time in bed. There is a graph view that takes the data and plots graphic points of comparison daily, weekly and monthly. The calendar records all data for comparisons from different days. The iFit - Sleep HR Activity Tracker - White is a new technology device to help make a persons’ life healthier by understanding the bodies’ functions during sleep.

Good sleep pattern sensor. It can measure heart rate, breathing and also sleep pattern (whether one is in light sleep or REM sleep). The sensor must be installed correctly under the mattress (instructions were a little confusing, but if sleeping alone, must be placed around where the center of your chest rests on the mattress, if 2 people sleeping and both using sensors each, must be placed around the shoulder area to the outside of the bed of each person). Pairing with phone was easy and downloaded the app. App has several settings and also lets you set an alarm, however within around a 30 min period it will evaluate the best time to wake you up (usually whenever you're in light sleep and not deep REM), making it easier to wake up and waking up fresh! I usually have sleep problems (insomnia, and waking up tired), this has helped me a lot, specially with the alarm, I find it I wake up less tired and ready to go. Highly recommend it!
