A: I know, it's crazy that you buy the device and can't get the app. You have to "sideload" it from a trustworthy site. If you Google "sideload apps" there are lots of articles that will walk you through it and can even suggest safe sites to get the app (one that was suggested is APKMirror). Once you do that (and it's actually fairly easy to do), the app works perfectly. It's just that Google doesn't want "non-Google Play" apps downloaded, but you have no other choice if they won't provide it for android. Good luck!
A: I have a pretty thick mattress with a pillow top, and the device works perfectly.
Q: Will this work with a waterbed?
A: No, not recommended.
A: Just a response to my response: Thanks for letting me know. I would have had to return the sensor in that case, however a little research led me to a reputable site where I could "sideload" the app for android, and it's been working perfectly ever since! Except for the part where it tells me I don't get nearly enough sleep, of course. :)
Q: Will this set off an alarm if it detects a very low heart rate, or high?
A: No, this item does not provide that feature. The heart rate monitor is an exercise guideline only.
A: This is not a medical device. It simply tracks your sleep patterns. You will need to consult your physician.
