Worst appliance purchase ever. I was seduced by the price and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" within 24 hours interior was a total snowstorm. Defrosted it 4 times in two weeks, had major food spoilage, then it stopped freezing altogether! Of course by this time 15 day return policy had expired. Had to drag it out of basement and return it. Warranty stated I had to pay to ship it to igloo for repair! If you want an igloo product buy a thermos!

This freezer seems to Freeze food very well. Have it set below minimum setting and it stays at -10 degrees. Is taller than specs but was easy to handle and set up.

So far so good. I have had the freezer for over a month and would buy it again. The only thing missing is an interior light.

I ordered this product because my regular freezer was constantly over flowing. This freezer fits nicely in my kitchen, not too big or too small. I was not able to find a better deal in the store. Excellent value for the price.

After taking the freezer out of the box I let it set for 6 hours, the instructions said 2 hours, before plugging it in. After I plugged the unit in, the compressor kicked on, and I could hear fluid running through the shelves. I checked on the freezer the next morning, and it was colder in my house, than it was inside the freezer. The compressor was still running. So, I unplugged the freezer and let it set for 24 hours. Once, again after plugging it back in the compressor ran continuously, but never got cold, much less freezing. I should have trusted the other reviews.

This freezer is a good size for a single person or small family, with the number of shelves (5) and the bottom its easy to organize. A basket or door shelves would be nice but not that important. Over all its a great value.

The perfect size for our family. We don't have a lot of space for a full size freezer nor do we need a full size. So when I found this one and found it was on sale I jumped at it. It doesn't have a lot of features other than it is a freezer. What more does one need?

Not kidding about how bad is this thing. I grew up with ONE full sized freezer all my life and we never had trouble with it. Now I started a new family and I really thought I got a good deal for this freezer. It stopped working for a few months then we got a freezer repair guy who recommended replacing a part in the back or add Freon. We didn't want to pay more for replacing a part after not even two weeks its not freezing again. We are really irritated and will NEVER buy another of Igloos products. DON'T BUY!

We had a very old, larger upright freezer taking up space in our garage. With just the two of us now, we didn't need as much extra space and didn't like paying for the extra electricity it used. Decided to downsize but still wanted an upright and this one worked great.

We bought the freezer 3 months ago. It stopped working and we had to throw away a lot of meat and chicken that had defrosted. We called igloo as we saw Best Buy wont take it back after 30 days. They had us try and reset it and it didn't work. Igloo rep said we could go through Best Buy for service since it would cost so much to mail it to Igloo. Best Buy never called us back like they were supposed to and when we called them they were still waiting for Igloo to approve service. Don't waste your money! Save up for a more reputable product and buy the service plan. We are sorry we didn't!

Not sure why this freezer doesn't freeze, but it doesn't. Actually, to be fair, it keeps stuff frozen on the middle three shelves, but it can't handle the top two and bottom two shelves at all. So I am now cooking a ton of ground meat and a ton of stew meat because I can't refreeze it and it thawed in this freezer at its coldest setting. I do not recommend this appliance.

I've only had this appx. 6 mos and it quit after defrosting. I get so tired of having to go through the 'runaround' which is what I'm sure I'll get from both Best Buy and Igloo - good thing I'm retired!

This is an excellent little freezer. It works well, is quiet, looks OK and is a great value for the price.

I bought this freezer to supplement my freezer on my refrigerator, it worked great for 20 days then noticed food was thawing had just filled it with popsicles and ice cream bars for grandchildren and frozen dinners lost it all it was running but quit freezing....will be returning it was going to get another one but don't think so after reading other people had same problem.

Had a floor small freezer. Hated that everything I seemed to want was at the bottom, which was hard to reach. I can see on each shelve and have everything at hand.

Freezer quit after 3 months. I lost everything I had in it. The manufacturer (Curtis International, not Igloo) wants the freezer MAILED to them for repairs, and for me to pay for the shipping which is about $150! Oh, and they may have it for 6-8 weeks. I had and independent appliance repair company come look at it. It has a closed system leak. In other words, all the coolant is gone. That's a $500 repair for a $200 freezer! Nothing should quit after 3 months.

This upright freezer is an excellent choice and does the job if you are looking to keep a small capacity of items due to overflow within the regular freezer.

I'm very happy with the freezer, it's much better than a freezer chest would be. It has plenty of room for our needs and is still small enough to not take up a lot of room. A great buy that I would suggest to anyone.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I bought it because I was looking for a small, upright freezer and this product fit the description. Everything was groovy for a couple of months until I went to grab some meat to defrost for dinner and noticed 90% of contents were warm…not even cold! Oddly enough, the very bottom self was frozen. Unfortunately, that’s where I keep an extra bag of ice. So, all of my meat was ruined (worth more $$$ than the price of the freezer!), but my worthless ice was frozen. Piece of #### freezer!

I would have awarded 0 stars if this had been an option. This product arrived on July 1st and stopped working on August 1st. This was just after a trip to the store to buy items to store in the freezer. Best Buy would provide no support as 15 days had passed. I contacted the supplier who told me to unplug the unit, plug back in, and then turn the on/off knob 8-9 times and this would "re-set" the unit. If this did not work, I should call them back. This "re-set" did not work so I phoned back and was told by the customer service rep as well as the supervisor that they could not alter company policy which dictated shipping the unit to their location in IL, at my cost and they would either repair or replace the unit. Of course this shipping costs, not to mention the inconvenience of doing so, were around $300 and the cost of this unit was only $179. This did not make any sense. I will not be shopping at Best Buy in the future and would not recommend this product.
