Screen is too bright

Radio doesn't play

Has an antennae wire, but all you get is a repetitive "thunk, thunk" sound when trying to use as a wake to radio option. All I use it for now is an expensive clock display! Cannot recommend.

1. Remove the batteries from the unit.
2. Unplug the unit from its power source (AC adapter).
3. Wait 20 minutes.
4. Plug the unit into a power source (without batteries).
If normal operation is restored, insert "new" batteries into the unit.

Terrible muffled sound

The iBT232 has a dimmer/brightness function with multiple options. You may have had the display set to a dim setting. Adjusting the brightness is as easy as the push of a button.

A little difficult to set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was tricky to get the alarms and time in sync from AM to PM, and so that it will change with daylight saving time. The lights for AM-PM and alarm-on are confusing. But once mastered, the options are nice. I can choose the tone and volume of both alarms. USB charges the phone (but not a tablet) freeing up outlet space. I like having presets for the fm radio.

Too bright

The old unit had 8 brightness settings that were perfect. This new unit has 4 options or off. They lowest setting still lights up an entire bedroom at night. Old unit set time automatically when you plugged phone into USB. This clock unit has to be set manually. Radio presets took more effort to set, also. It is smaller, sleeker and has blue tooth, but less advanced than a much older model. It may go back mostly because of the super brightness at night.

This unit has a Daylight Saving Time (DST) Switch located on the back of the cabinet. By
default, it is set to auto and will automatically adjust the time at the start and end of daylight
saving time. If your location does not observe daylight saving time or you wish to manually
adjust, move the switch to +1 to add an hour or to –1 to subtract an hour.

The signal strength and clarity of this iHome radio is great. Having the antenna wire attached was needed and worked well. It’s a well thought out product for its functionality. The relatively small footprint matched my old ones size. It brought in a distant 30 mile station antenna that my car radio gets but the old analog clock radio could hardly ever get. I am very pleased with this radio for the price.

Almost a keeper

Fully dimmable, two alarms, week and weekend functions, decent sound, nice look. But programming the preset radio stations into the alarm is a pain. Also it beeps when doing settings. The thing that lost it for me is no gradual wake feature. The alarm comes on at a preset level. Even the minimum startled me. So, it is going back.

Although there is no gradual wake feature, you can set the snooze between 1-29 minutes. We hope you will choose another unit with the gradual wake feature that you need. Battery backup doesn’t work

Installing and Replacing Clock Backup Batteries
Note: 2 AA batteries are included with the unit. Install batteries before using the unit.
This model is equipped with a battery backup circuit that will maintain the time and alarm time settings in the event of a temporary power interruption. The battery backup circuit will also operate the buzzer alarm to wake you up at the selected wake up time even if the power is out.
When the backup battery is getting weak or isn’t present, “LO BATT will flash twice in the display when the unit is powered on. When you see this flashing indicator you should replace the backup batteries as soon as possible.
