Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is just as good if not better then the first 3 Indiana Jones films. If you liked the old Indiana Jones movies then you'll like this one too.

    Overrated movie

Lucas and Spielberg have lost their touch. What a horrible movie. It is no Temple of Doom or Raiders of Lost Ark. The monkey scene was terrible and the actors and characters were predictable and lack luster. The special affects tried to woo you and mask the fact that this movie had a terrible story line. I was extremely disappointed with this over hyped movie. I like fantasy and all, but this fell into the over the top and terrible tongue and cheek humor. Temple of Doom was funny and entertaining, this Crystal Skull is a bad joke. Too bad they ended this franchise with a stinker.

I grew up watching the Indiana Jones movies...when I was a lad I would wear my fedora and bullwhip and run around the neighborhood whipping at the nerds and geeks...hya!!! hya!!!...but I can't understand why, after all these years, you make this pile of garbage...why not just leave it be??? Harrison Ford was pretty good actually, and maybe the best part of the movie...Karen Allen really seemed like an afterthought and her and Indy's dialogue was two clicks south of corny...Shia LaBeuf is terrible in everything...he's a little whiney girly type, which is fine for some roles but not as Indy's son...This movie certainly could have used some Sallah...I mean holla holla, where you at Sallah?!?...Sean Connery would have been an asset..."I'll take 'swords' for $500"...the Russians could've been an acceptable replacement for the Germans but the chick in this was laughable...we need a real bad guy not some weird dominatrix lady that reminds me of my uncle Freddie... The script was embarassing (Lucas can't write)...Speilberg doesn't have it anymore in my opinion...he used to inject any project he touched with movie magic...Jaws, E.T., Close Enc., Indy I-II-III, Poltergeist I (uncredited)...all the way up to Saving Private Ryan save for a few duds (The Color Purple!!!!....Oprah!!!???!!...give me a break)...but then he ran out of movie magic...such a shame but at least we have his early stuff... The real shame is that this move could've been really really great and instead it was a major letdown...National Treasure II starring Nick Cage the paperclip (although he was brilliant as H.I.) was actually better than Crystal Skull...This one should've been called "Indiana Jones and the Subpar Script with a Side of Cheese and Shia LaBeuf is Terrible"...I'm going to go cleanse myself by watching "Raiders of the Lost Ark"...

Overall, another great Indiana Jones adventure. Shia LaBeouf was great as Indy's 18-year old son. Many funny scenes as well. Fast moving, not boring.

Indiana Jones was my hero growing up. To see a fourth tale added to the mythology was a dream come true. However, too much CGI kills the action sequences, and the nuclear explosion was just ridiculous. Though TOD had its low moments, there were still a lot of memorable scenes. Unfortunately, all I remember about the scenes in this movie is how ridiculous they were. Poorly done.

    George Lucas does it again

This movie is a classic example of how George Lucas screws up his classic movies. The old indiana jones movies were about the set, the costumes, they all had something creepy about them.... they are not about aliens and cgi and big explosions. This is just another example of how george lucas screws up a classic movie in a new age way

I absolutely hated this movie. I guess I was expecting something so much better. The plot was stupid and the acting was terrible. If you must see this film, rent it, do not buy it. Wait till it gets to the $5 rack if you have to have it.

    Dull

I'm hard pressed to say why I didn't care for this movie. The atmosphere just felt off--kind of wilted, which is interesting, because I hadn't realized how similar in feel the three previous films had been. Karen Allen's Marion Ravenwood seemed like a watered down version of her original character, and Harrison Ford felt forced and stilted as Indiana Jones. Shia LaBeouf brought an energy to the Crytal Skull that may have been the most on target in terms of the feel of the original films. In spite of that, however, the movie just wasn't that much fun to watch.

I impatiently awaited the arrival of this movie, and to be honest was quite dissappointed. I'm sorry, but aliens (or whatever they called them) and Indiana Jones doesn't mix.

Horrible plot. Really bad acting. Completely not like the other great indy movies. CGI proves again why not it shouldn't be used. Kid actor is terrible. Monkeys?...come on now, that scene was terrible. Whole movie was simply made to make money off of the other indy movie's success. Don't watch this one, it should be considered the poster movie of good series gone bad.

Wow, took 20 yrs to come up with this script...would really hate to seen the ones that were rejected. They should have left well enough alone. Lucas and Spielberg just don't have what it takes any more. Indy only used his whip one time....give me a break. It's an insult to all the prior Indy films. Karen Allen was completely wasted with the lame part she was given.
