Good Movie.. Not Great Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tom Hanks returns as Robert Langdon in Inferno. The movie is a good movie but it isn't a great movie. The book was a lot better than the movie. The movie had moments where you didn't know what was going on, but that was mainly because the book had the same moments and twists. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has read Dan Brown's book to see the comparison or if you are a Tom Hanks Fan!

Inferno, 2nd best of the 3...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Tom Hanks fan, I had to see this film... as well as capping off the other two films in the series. You really don't need to see them, this film stands on it's own. Great photography, places you most likely haven't been in Europe. The acting is perfect and the story reels you in as you follow the quest to uncover the truth. Not to ruin the plot of course, worth seeing as a purchase or rental.

Not sure why everyone hated this film...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Critics trashed it and even citizen viewers largely disliked it, unlike the first two films in the series. I thought it was pretty good. I could have done without Tom Hanks being given a love interest intertwined into the plot, but other than that, Inferno had the same adventure and mystery solving aspects as DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons. At least give it a try if you liked the first two.

A Good Tom Hanks movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoyed this latest installment of the Professor Langston movies but feel it is a bit less exciting than the first 2. The story line is engaging as a contemporary theory and the characters are believable. I enjoyed the "on location" shoots for their historical significance. A bit predictable in places. The ensemble international cast worked well to bring the story together.

Plot not revealed very well early in the movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most of the novels made into a movie, I have read the book prior. Dan Brown developes his plots in a very complicated and convoluted way in each of his novels but you can pick up the jest of the story line with little confusion. However , had I not read the book before watching this movie I would have been totally lost after 40 minutes in . Non the less it was a good movie .

Not as good as the 1st one, but entertaining
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 1st in the series, "DaVinci Code" was by far the best. This one stretches the theme of the original and the 2nd one a bit, but is very entertaining and is worth watching again. We did not see it on the big screen and were anxious to purchase this when released. It has it's twists & turns to keep your interest, but the plot is not as intricate as the previous two offerings.

Complimented the Robert Langdon series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one was a little different than The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. Took me two (2) watches to really get into it, but once I did, Inferno really paid off. Love going to the actual locations, instead of movie sets, which makes the movie truly authentic. Can't wait for Dan Brown's novel The Lost Symbol to be made. Tom Hanks is always a pleasure to watch.

For Dan Brown and/or Tom Hanks fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comparable in many ways to "Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons": good cast (especially Hanks), good direction by Howard, great production values, beautiful locations and a interesting story that is convoluted and a bit silly at times. The nearly flawless Blu-Ray image is presented in 1:85 aspect ratio and very active surround sound is in DTS 5.1

The Actors and Director saved the movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Dan Brown Novels, but this movie did lack the incredible feeling I had when viewing the first movie in the series. I love Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon, and Ron Howard is usually a wonderful Director. I'm just not sure why this movie didn't hit on all cylinders. It's definitely a good watch, and I would recommend that you see the movie.

Langdon is back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this film in the the theatre even though most of the reviews were dreadful. I know they changed a few plot elements from the book including a big change to the ending but I still was entertained. It is Tom Hanks globe trotting trying to figure out a puzzle. If you liked the DaVInci code and Angels and Demons you will like Inferno.

Fun Surprises
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun adventure with fun surprises along the way. I enjoyed this film more than I thought I would. Part of the story, involved around the end of our existence was a bit drab and depressing though. Thought Ron Howard did a great job on directing Tom Hanks again. This film flows with the same type of energy that a Bourne film does.

Interesting movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a fan so I found things to like but not the best effort by Ron Howard. Tom Hanks can only work with what he's given .The movie had interesting locations and a thriller storyline. The set-up is okay but the action seems confusing as if more and more is better. That's ultimately what kills this movie is the lack of focus.

love dan brown
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.love dan brown movies. some of the movies do not get great reviews but if you read the books the movies are much better . a lot of detail in the books fill out the story in the movies. the quality of the video is gorgeous. the movie is like a travelogue so the colors are great. not a big difference from the blu ray to the 4k.

Good film for fans of the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you weren't already a fan of The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons, don't expect this movie to change where you stand. If you are a fan of those then this movie is right up there with them. It was intrigue, moves at a quick pace and kept me guessing til the big reveal (I've never read the books) Worth picking up for fans.

Good movie but easy to get lost
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good thing I read the book first before I saw this movie, otherwise I would have been lost. It seems that when books are made into movies parts that others think are important are not in the movie. That is why I rated a 4 I thought important parts were missing. But it was a good movie to watch and it did tell the story.

Not too bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the other two movies in the series this was less religious but more apocalyptic so I didn't like it as much not that I'm an over religious individual but I found the other two more intriguing I would have given three and half stars but unavailable so good cast and we have visited areas where the move was filmed

Chase to Stop Another Disaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a Tom Hanks and Ron Howard fan so as a result did enjoy this movie. Plus, I enjoy reading Dan Brown's books. This is another follow the hidden clues story, with Tom Hanks character, Robert Langdon, having to use his vast knowledge of history, art and ability to solve puzzles. Ron Howard has a way to direct suspense and action thrillers that keeps the viewer involved. Though many critics panned this movie, I enjoy this fast action mystery/suspense movie.

A Chase with a Flair for Art
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not quite as good as the first 2 movies that came before it, but still a thrilling chase from beginning to end with some good plot twists. The premise also gives a person something to think about in real world terms. The places that are prominent make for some good and beautiful art history too.

Entertaining
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally heard that this movie was a disappointment and didn't do well in theatres. I read the book and feel that Ron Howard and the cast interpreted and followed the book very well. It moves fast as did the book and leaves you out of breath at times. I think the movie was BETTER than the book!
