    design issues

I bought this washer/dryer combo because of the good reviews & price point. I was very disappointed! The design seems to be flawed, or perhaps I just managed to get a lemon. The water level for the rinse cycle is that of an HE (high efficiency) washer, meaning, the water level doesn't cover the clothes during the rinse - the tub fills with about 5-6" of water. Because of this, the aggitator thrashes & twists the clothes. I researched HE low-water washers and they have an almost non-existent aggitator. This machine has a dual action aggitator that is like a normal washer. I have had to rewash even the smallest loads to thoroughly remove even a tiny cap of detergent. Its crazy! Fortunately, Best Buy agreed to replace both the washer & dryer with an upgraded washer & dryer, which I still was able to get a great price on!

    Good washer for the price

I bought the same washer back in January of 09 with a warranty. I never had problem until this month. The large load sticks I guess because the water just keeps filling and doesn't do anything else. It also started making a noise on the spin cycle. Pretty sure its going to give out soon. I called to see if I am still covered under warranty and it expired this January. I bought this washer because I was tight on money. I am in the same situation again so I will probably just buy the same one. This time I am going to try and save 10 dollars a week so if it breaks down I can buy a better one. At least I will have a few years. Lol!

I'm very happy with this washer. It was the most affordable in the area. It is quiet and efficient. The warm water cycle is too cool. I realize it is the new energy efficient feature, but wish it allowed warmer water on the warm cycle.

    Solid low-cost, entry-level washer

Works as advertised, comes with a number of handy settings for various load types. My only complaint is that it does not have a buzzer or other sound-making device to let you know when it is finished with a wash cycle. So you have to keep an eye on the clock or set an alarm on another device to remind you when it's finished.

    Loud and Thrashing

The Loudest Washing Machine I've ever heard. Seriously Scarey Too: When The Machine Goes From One Cycle to Another. Even the" gentle wash" Thrashes the Clothes. The warm water temperature choice never works - You can set it to warm but it puts out cold water.

I've had this washing machine for a month now and I'm very happy. Besides the "noise" factor it is a great machine for the money. I have never owned a brand new washing machine before and unfortunately I am on budget. It gets the clothes clean and I love it.

Purchased the washer and dryer together. I only do 2 loads of laundry a week. Just a week out of warranty the tub starts leaking. I hadn't used the dryer since March since I have a clothes line. So, I had only used it 7 months since purchasing the dryer. Started drying clothes and it wasn't getting them dry. I changed the setting and went to restart and it didn't work at all! I have never had such poor quality in an appliance. Do NOT buy this brand! I was told by salesperson that this was Whirlpool made. If that is correct; I will never buy their brand again! I'm going back to Sears . Noisy machine, leaks, Had to rewash clothes often, small tub

Loud and doesnt completely fill on the rinse cycle

Just bought this washer 2 weeks ago and am already having issues. It doesnt fill up all the way on the rinse cycle. Even though water level is set to large load - and it does fill up completely for the wash cycle - it only fills to the small load level during the rinse cycle. This seems to be a known issue for this washer.

IT DOES THE JOB FOR WHAT I BOUGHT IT FOR...MY ONLY DISLIKE IS THAT IT TANGLES MY CLOTHES. IF SOMEONE ELSE HAS A TIP FOR ME SO IT WON'T DO THAT THEN IT WOULD BE AWSOME!

It is amazing I owned it for about 3 years and still no problrm. I seen some reveiws that were bad but I am sure that maybe they over load the washer. I dont over load and it works wonders for me. I am always washing clothes as I am a mother and a wife.

    Waste of Time and Money

May not be all Inglis washers...... We bought an Inglis washing machine 3 days ago because our 22yr old but trusty Kitchenaid washer finally quit. We weren't looking for anything fancy, just a machine to clean clothes. It seemed to work okay for the first 2 days but today (3rd day) the wash tub started smacking against the inside of the machine. I know the reviews state that the machine was loud but Oh My Goodness. We bought the 2yr extended warranty but immediately decided to take it back and get a REAL Whirlpool. Well needless to say Best Buy didn't like the idea of having to take it back since we bought the service plan. They wanted us to call and get it ''fixed'' instead of allowing us to purchase a better washer. They allowed us to get the one other washing machine. I don't generally write bad reviews but this is a complete piece of junk and I DO NOT recommend anyone purchasing this machine. Spend the extra $60 and get the real deal.

Very good quality, afordable price, and standard features are perfect for the everyday user. Thanks inglis"whirlpool". We have it outside under our awning and its rather noisy especially on spin cycle. Probably if gonna be inside, maybe look for a quieter one. But for the price and having it outside, we love it.
