I rarely write reviews but I was compelled to do so for this washer. I did a TON of research when my machine broke. I needed a top loader because of space limitations. It seemed like any that had a decent number of reviews had a lot of bad ones, even the more expensive ones. I finally decided to go with something cheap. I was wary of the Inglis brand but then I found out it's actually made my Whirlpool exclusively for Best Buy. That eased my mind. So I paid $299 plus tax plus delivery ($70) plus new cables ($30, required if you want the delivery people to hook it up for you) plus around $100 for a 4 year warrantee. Totally worth it! I love the machine!! It does what it's supposed to do, the clothes are clean and in good shape. It's a bit noisy but I don't really notice it too much (it's on the far corner of our house). I don't need to leave the door open to avoid mold like the front loaders. It has a Gentle cycle (which the low end GE machines do not). I actually cleans the clothes (many without an agitator do not.) I suppose it uses more water than some of the energy efficient machines but I think the savings in reality is minimal especially because the energy efficient ones sometimes require you to re-wash since they don't actually get the clothes clean!! What can I say?? Love it, love it, highly recommend!!!

I am a reformed front-loading washing machine owner. They looked great but did a lousy job cleaning clothes. I installed the washer earlier today and I have put 5 loads of laundry through it using various cycles. After an installation fiasco (NOT best buy's fault, sub-par 80's home construction) I got it running flawlessly. I took the extra time to level the washer, and while it is loud when it changes from one cycle to another (i.e. rinse to spin), it works well. I had a silent washer that cleaned clothes poorly so a little noise is welcomed. I do not know what other reviewers were talking about in reference to clothes being twisted. I have not had that problem. This washer was a bargain and I would recommend it to a friend. It is just like the washing machine I had when I was growing up.
I have two complaints about this washer: it has no buzzer to let you know when a load is finished and it has poorly designed self-leveling rear legs.

According to the manual this 2011 machine’s highest water level is lower than that of the previous year, both the wash level and especially the rinse. I guess it’s the new modification to save water but in the end I think I end up using more just to get the clothes washed the way I like. The rinse level of the water is really low; just enough to keep the clothes soaked but not enough for a clean rinse in my opinion. Also with such a low rinse level the machine is noticeable nosier as it is smacking the clothes around. I have an outdoor laundry room so this is not much of a problem; indoors it might pose a noise issue. One thing I find myself doing is putting a towel over the top part and cover because of the low water level smacking- water gets out from around the lid, also the underside gets completely soaked (under the lid and surrounding drum). The spin cycle is rather fast but gets the water out. If you do decide to get this unit make sure to get it with the extra spin cycle switch. Funny, the manual says if your machine doesn’t have the extra spin switch you can rotate the dial at the end of the wash to any rinse setting and start from there. I perform this extra step every wash and wish it had the switch.

I really like this washer! I had purchased a water energy washer and it sucked with getting the clothes clean so it was returned. This washer wasn't very expensive and does a great job of cleaning and rinsing so that no water drips when getting the clothes out. I will have to warn you that it a noisy washer, not where it shakes the walls but you do hear it running its cycles so don't put it in an open area. I am able to wash about 8-10 pairs of jeans in one cycle.

i bought the machine online and did a store pickup...ive only had it 2 days but have done 3 loads of laundry...so far it works well...i was a bit concerned about the water saver feature as the washer doesnt fill all the way on rinse cycle, but the clothes came out clean and not soapy...when i picked it up at best buy my friend noticed a hole in the box and sure enough under the hole was a scratch...they gave me an additional 10% off ;) as far as the noise, i dont find it to be any noisier then other machines and certainly not as loud as my last one...the buzzer is no big deal to me as i would just turn it off anyway...so far so good

Currently work for a tractor supply warehouse and come home covered in dirt and grease. Was surprised that my work clothes came out cleaner than the 10 year old major brand washer I replaced using the same detergent.
Drawback is no fabric softener dispenser, so unless you can beat feet at the right time, you'll need one of those balls you fill and toss in at the beginning of the load.
Rinse cycle doesn't use as much water as the old one.

I was on a budget, so bought this Inglis. I have never been sorry, I bought it in May of 2007, at BestBuy in Denver. This washer works well, gets our chlothes, towels, bedding, etc. really clean, but most impressive is I raise Great Danes and it gets their blankets clean, there is no lingering smelly dog odor. It is much quieter then any of my previous machines. Good, Solid, Well made, perfect funtioning washing machine that works great for a family of four, with a pack of Great Danes. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but has a temperature, and cycle setting to fit all of our needs. Over 4 years later and works like the day I brought it home. Excellent machine, and the price is great. I moved it out to Iowa from Colorado, and the boys dropped it getting it off the truck, and I thought I'd be out a washer, Nope still works perfect. just has some dents now. Very durable washer. This machine is an example of how they should be made.

I got this washer after mine broke which was a very old maytag washer.
I loved the price and it works great! There is a ton of room in this washer too. The only downside is that its very loud, its not a problem if you keep it in your garage but dont put it in an open area. Theres many features on this washer and its made by whirlpool!!
