Fantastic fighting game with a deep story

Injustice 2 continues in an alternate DC Universe, with Superman imprisoned after leading a regime that took over the world. Batman is trying to rebuild and move the planet forward after the destruction of Superman's conquest. This is not only one of the best fighting games I've played, but probably one of the best comic book stories ever told.
The motion capture, voice acting, and animation is nothing short of breathtaking, and comic book fans will adore the DC Comic history and seeing a unique take on many heroes and villains. There's the amazing Multiverse mode, which gives you daily and weekly challenges, while helping you upgrade your fighters and purchase armor to enhance each characters.
If you are a comic book fan, and/or a fighting game fan, there is so much to enjoy and explore. I recommend picking up Injustice 1 before playing this, which is available on Xbox One(via backward compatibility) and PS4.

Injustice 2 has really taken the basics of the first Injustice, and has improved the gameplay to a bigger scale. The new section Multiverse allows new challenges to come on the console, as the mobile version of Injustice had many fun challenges prior to this gaming experience. It really provides the worth of purchase, as other activities (such as customizing characters) adds more engagement to the experience.
The story also was strong, as the first game, and it does leave the question of what will happen next. The controls for the game are definitely better, and even faster than the previous Injustice. It is still challenging in some areas of gameplay, so it is no cakewalk by any means. Lastly, the waiting of the extra characters will be fun, as the Ultimate Edition promises 9 characters.

I would not consider myself a fighting game fan, but when I saw the first Injustice I decided I wanted to try it. I really enjoyed it, just because of the story and the smooth gameplay. When Injustice 2 was announced, I already had a bit of built in hype from the first.
I purchased the Ultimate Edition, which comes with instant character skin unlocks for Power Girl, John Stewart Green Lantern, and Reverse Flash, as well as 2 sets of exclusive “shaders”, and the upcoming slate of nine downloadable characters. Safe to say, I went all in on this game! My purchase feels justified, as I write this, I have played over 20 hours on the Xbox One version of the game.
The combat feels right, the moves are not too complicated, and it just looks spectacular! I would say that it serves novice and experienced fighting genre gamer fans, as it is easy to learn, but harder to master. The story is fantastic, paired with absolutely stunning visuals in the cut scenes make you want to progress past each fight to find out what happens next, and find out which character you know from the comics will make an appearance! In my opinion, the story in this game is better than the recent DC movies, and superior to the story of Captain America: Civil War.
In all, this game is a must play. I’d recommend at least seeking out the stitched together cut scenes of the first game so you can understand the story going in. Past the story mode, the multiverse mode offers great arcade-type challenges, as well as character endings for each fighter in the Battle Simulator. As you play, you also unlock “Mother Boxes” which give you random gear for your fighters that adds to the unique experience you have. This customization lets you fight unique versions of characters in the Multiverse, as they are randomly given appearances. It really keeps things fresh and interesting! PLAY THIS GAME!

This game continues the story and is great. Grpahics are amazing, the number of characters to play is massive. The story line is very well done. Game play is fun as well. I only wish that there was a button to press to block rather than pushing back or down.

Right off the bat, this game does not disappoint. There are tons of gameplay modes such as single player and multiplayer. Within the single player are story modes, single fights, training, and the new multiverse missions. Long after you defeat the game, there are several multiverse missions which change daily. Some of these missions are available for a limited time only, so be quick! Perhaps the best part though, are that the characters are seriously customizeable. There are hundreds of combinations for each character with different heads, arms, legs, weapons, etc. The ultimate edition provides more characters, and basically you are 'pre-paying' for future content.

I have three sons and we all love superheroes. Injustice 2 has a great story but allows you to match classic DC Comics heroes and villains in almost unlimited battle/location combinations. We love playing against each other and online. A almost perfect game for a family who loves video games and comic book action.
Watch out for micro-transactions that flood the game. Lots of chances to 'Spend' more money for costumes, upgrades, etc. I do miss the days when all this extra content was included in the purchase price.
Even so we still give it 5 Bat-a-rangs!

This is an amazing fighting game! It feels improved on every level from the first one.
The fighting is great but the story sells it. If you're a DC or Injustice fan, the story is amazing! Also the facial scans are phenomenal also!!
The big feature is the character customization portion. And it's executed very well. I am obsessed with upgrading and changing the looks of my favorite characters.
I bought Tekken 7 as well and it's just collecting dust, I can't stop playing and building my main characters.

So far, I have played through the story once, played a couple ranked battles online and completed a few world's on the multiverse. Everything is a blast. The fighting system is basically the same from the first game. Online battles are less laggy (actually had no lag with this game. Had small amount of lag with injustice 1). Multiverse is great for keeping people like me engaged. I'm not real good at online battling and won't play it much, but multiverse will keep me coming back to play.

I loved the first Injustice game, and have been looking forward to the sequel for as long as it'd been announced. I am very glad to say that I was not disappointed in the least. Everything about this game is perfect, from the story, to the characters, to the graphics, to the replayability. My only issue so far is that my favorite DC character, Martian Manhunter, is not playable, but that may yet be corrected through dlc. Besides that, I couldn't be happier.

If you're a fan of Superheroes, or fighting games, chances are there is something here for you. There is a lot of content for someone who enjoys the single-player aspect of fighting games, or if you're an online warrior. There is an excellent story mode, or the towers that act as a ladder for individual stories. There are great multiplayer modes, with some great features as well. Guilds, King of the Hill, etc. Easy to recommend this one.

If you are terrible at fighting games like me you can play this and still have fun. The story is one of the main focuses of the game. If you want to delve into the online I heard it's pretty good connection wise but the projectiles are out of hand. I haven't been able to test it myself because I am not very good at fighters. This is a good fighter for people new to the genre. It has a lot of value without counting online.

Not only is this an excellent fighting game, but its story and characters are all intetesting spins on DC Comics heroes. To have them fighting against each other is a fanboy fun-fest. If you love the idea seeing Batman fight Robin or Superman fight Supergirl or even Swamp Thing vs Dr. Fate. You will plwnty of excitement, fun and battle to dig in to.

Overall I'm not much of a gamer anymore. However I will play occasionally when I have some time. This game is entertaining and fun. You can level up and customize your characters which make it addictive to continue playing. The graphics are great and since this comes with the season pass you get everything immediately as it is released.

Injustice 2 brings all the great gameplay from the first game but all new modes to play. The Mulitverse adds near unlimited replay. Motherboxes offer a ton of items to collect. New characters are welcome addition. The addition of Guilds is a much needed and appreciated improvement.

This is one of the best fighting games I've played. There are multiple modes to play: Story, Multiverse events (similar to classic arcade ladders), and Versus (online and offline). There is also a gear system that allows you to unlock new costume items to customize your characters as you level them up. The gear is not only cosmetic but it changes the character's stats, which can be toggled off if you prefer to fight on even ground.
There are 28 characters (29 if you purchase Darkseid), both well-known and obscure, on the roster with at least 9 more to come as DLC.
The Story and Multiverse modes are great if you prefer to play solo. Versus is great for playing with friends or competing online.
This Ultimate Edition includes 9 DLC characters as they are released as well as instant access to the Power Girl, John Stewart, and Reverse Flash premiere skins.
If you are a DC fan or just a fan of great fighting games I highly recommend this game.

This is one of the best fighting games I have played. I just wish they would put in a fatality style finishing move at the end of each match. The Ultimate Edition is a tad over priced. Should have been sold for $79.99 and then if you're a gamers club member, it would be less.
