Insidious is a creepy and fresh update to the ghostly apparition movies. Plenty of startling jump scares while also mixed with subtle horror tropes. Inventive and fun. I haven't been scared like that in a long time. A must see!

Insidious was a very good movie and I enjoyed the first half immensely, it had some real scares and kept you on the edge of your seat. But, then the second half came and I thought they went over the edge and the story line did not make any sense. I wish they would have gone a different route - but all in all not a bad movie.

I love a good scary movie, this one was not like any other movie in its genre that I had seen. I liked it because the dark spirit that comes over the kids bed, was creepy enough. Watching it alone, with the lights out and knowing what happens in this movie when you sleep... I wouldn't sleep. Love that!

Was I taken by this movie? Yes. Am I in the process of getting Insidious 2 & 3? Yes. What a movie - man, the dynamics are unreal, the plot very simply, yet very well executed. Can't wait to see what happens next or wait to see the Prequel [Insidious 3].

Anybody who likes paranormal and supernatural movies, I would recommend getting this. I am into horror films and this is a great one. Plus it has 2 and 3. Also a new one just came, the last key. Good movies, all connected.

The Insidious series is one of the best horror series to follow, however, part 1 for me at least is the best. The BD version is great transfer, not too loaded with extras and features but I got this on sale and it's a gem of the horror genre!

This is proof that you don’t need blood and guts to do horror even though I love gore this was very scary loved the characters story worth the purchase

I ordered the movie online. I appreciate the free shipping and the fact that I don't have to pick up in the store. Good movie. Good story. I found the sequence when Patrick Wilson was trying to save his son a little disappointing.

Often an overlooked franchise, the follow-ons weren't so great. But this first episode was by the far the scariest, with good production value and a truly unique storyline. Highly recommended.

I simply love this movie and it is now one of my favorites along with Night of the Living Dead, House of 1000 corpses, Halloween 1-2, Poltergeist. Spooky and perfect lighting.

This movie is great because it gets right to the point...no build up needed. jump scares are there and the build up of the reveal of why everything is happening is perfect...check it out, you wont regret it

I bought the movie since I am a fan of paranormal stuff. I thought the movie was better than what I was expecting. It's still not as good as the conjuring movies but is right up there.

I really love this movie it was everything I hoped it be. Tons of scary moments and the music was creepy. If your looking for a scary movie to watch by yourself this is it. Check out the sequel too.

The red demon guy scared the heck out of me :) . Great movie and actually scary, coming from a horror fanatic that hasn’t been scared from a movie in a while.

This movie still holds up as on of the scarier movies in recent years while also avoiding the over-the-top R rating feel that so many other horror flicks suffer from.

Bought this as a gift for my folks. Good movie. I was so scared when I saw it in theaters for the first time and thought I'd show it to my folks as well and they liked it :). Should definitely watch it.

I don't buy movies till I have seen them somewhere. This was an enjoyable movie. Just make sure that you watch part one and two together as they make a complete story.

Again I had this on regular DVD, and bought it again on Blu-Ray. I enjoy watching these movies when I want to set on the edge of my seat and get goosebumps.

Saw this in the theatre, and HAD TO OWN IT too! Worth a second viewing, and definitely gave me chills again - spooky, scary, but well-done! Good cast; good scenery, good creeps!!!!
