This is a very good movie, I liked how it takes you back to the beginning. if you're a fan of the other two movies, you'll enjoy Insidious Chapter 3!

The answer is yes, it can, and I want to hang out with the writers to find out exactly what they are doing or experiencing to come up with this head game that seems to never end while getting better and better. 3rd of 4 films in the series [so far], this one is just as much of an edge of the seat mental thriller as the first 2, with as many twists and turns as one can handle. Pay attention to the little things as they become big items later!

Third film but still going strong, I enjoyed it a lot.

Insidious was chilling, with superb casting, broken a bit by too much running around in what became a routine otherworld. Insidious 2 had a strangely interesting surprise story, but was just weaker, carried by the same cast. Insidious 3 reaches into the past and brings the chills again, but again, showing The Further undermines and turns it into typical Hollywood horror. I would prefer that The Further plays a little less like the real world. Poltergeist terrified with static and wondering what was happening. Insidious shows too much, but the ride is fun. There was a scene that had me talking out loud...freaky...

As most thrid entries tend to be weakm I walked in with zero expectations and ended up being very pleasantly surprised. This movie was fun, well crafted and extremely entertaining. Being a big fan of the franchise (and of the genre)I was very happy with how this prequel explored the backstory of the psychic/medium and her future "helpers". The effects were great, the different ghosts/spirits/ entities were all different in their background and aspects. The plot was well developed and the jump-scares were well placed. There is no "repetition" from the previous two movies so this movie gained in originality.

Even though I'm not the biggest horror fan around, I do enjoy watching them when they are better then average/decent movies. Lets be honest, most of the horror flicks are just cheap excuses for some blood letting... I much enjoy a movie that will scare me a little while not insulting my intelligence. I didn't care much for the 2nd installment in this series but Chapter 3 as well as the original were both worth watching and can definitely recommend.

"Insidious 3" is a worthy addition to the series, featuring a remarkable performance by Lin Shaye. The apartment building adds a chilling atmosphere, giving it a Stephen King type of feel to it at times. The viewer finally gets a glimpse into Elise's past, and the story line bridged the three films together nicely. As far as being scary, the movie is more atmospheric and creepy than it is outright scary, but it does have its moments. Bottom line, if you enjoyed the first two films, don't miss this. It's just as good.

In my opinion the Insidious movies are one of the better horror series released in recent years. Genuinely creepy and atmospheric. Much better than the Paranormal Activity series that has not aged well. I would rank this third entry into the series as slight improvement over the second film. If you liked Insidious 1 and 2 then you should enjoy 3. Recommended

As a huge fan of the Insidious saga I was very interested to see what the third installment would bring without most of the original cast. It was excellent! If you are a fan of Elyse, you will LOVE this movie! It's far fetched like most horror movies but suspenseful and entertaining. I actually screamed out loud several times. I loved the references to the other two movies and loved learning more about Elyse! A must see for suspense lovers!

This one is a blast from start to finish. It spends the right amount of time on character development, then takes off and doesn't let up. It also stands alone as a prequel to the other films, so there's no need to be familiar with them as with other recent franchises. There's everything to like here, including the sound (Listen for the bell!) and, refreshingly, nothing to criticize. A perfect horror flick, and highly recommended.

Interesting because this time around the story line is a prequel to the first 2 movies that focuses on the psychic Elise Rainier and a couple of self proclaimed Internet ghost hunters. Not as good as the first 2 movies IMHO but still decent as a stand alone film.

Very few thriller/horror movies these days are worth seeing to me, but this one was for sure worth the theater viewing and purchase for home viewing. The insidious movies are all very good! Very fiew movies scare me but there was a few good jump moments. Even jumped the second time I watched it too! I was very pleased!!

The movie was good in the beginning. Able to keep you in suspense and wondering when the next thing was going to pop out at you. Eventually, the scare factor died down and it became like every other horror movie. I still recommend it if you like keeping up with the franchise.
