Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not everyone needs these things (using it to console into routers, switches, etc.), but when these don't work and you don't have an actual serial port, it's a bit of a pain. There are other products out there like these that can bluescreen your PC, have disconnect issues, etc., but not this guy.
