I needed this item to replace an older version USB to RS-232 Serial Adapter that worked with Windows 7 but was not compatible with Windows 10. This item is used with a legacy Garmin MapSource GPS.

I run win 10 on a Mac book Air, this worked like a charm. Needed serial port to configure Ethernet switches and this little guy worked perfectly. Find the comm port and open putty.

Needed to find a RS232 to USB adaptor for a device from an old PC to a new one that does not come with an RS232 port. This item does the job.

I used this on my Subaru to connect to my tactrix cable for tuning and it was able to connect to my laptop. It does the job.

This cable worked as expected. I needed to update the firmware of an old product that uses the DB9 serial port but my computer does not have a DB9 port. Success !

Did the job, but kind of short. Would recommend an extension cable as well. Too expensive for what it is.

Cord worked perfectly. My older monitor was too old not compatible with newer computer resolution. Had to end up buying a new 2nd monitor.

This was purchased for a business use where equipment required 1980s style serial connectivity to work. This adapter did the job, making a modern piece of equipment usable for legacy technology.

Most people don't know the difference between a Serial cable (DB-9) and a VGA cable (DB-15), which means Best Buy will always have a couple of returns that they sell for about half off.

Never thought I would need to get an adapter like this and wasn’t sure where I would find one when the need arose. I’m glad Best Buy have this product in stock. Works great

There is not a lot to say about this particular product - except that "when you need it, "you need it", so it is nice to have a LOCAL store that stocks such uncommon items!

When installing point of sale systems, sometimes the customer's hardware doesn't include the simple serial port. This fixes the issue

This cord, though low in price, works for non serial port laptops. If you need a high powered connection then you may want to do more research.

This product is very sturdy and reliable the only downside is the length of the product.

I needed a cord to plug my monitor into my USB on my MacBook and Best Buy was the only place I could find it in stock the day I needed it. Another reason I love Best Buy!

My laptop did not have a nine pin connector that I needed for a project, so I had to use a USB serial adapter. This one worked well and was priced right. Highly reccommend.

Fast Pickup from Store. Had to return as wasn't the correct Item I was wanting. Was able to get the correct item. Easy return.

This cable got me out of a jam while having to configure a network switch while on the road. Windows picked it up right away and downloaded the driver automatically.

Can’t do without one of these for gear that still requires RS-232 availability. Works great with Cisco rollover cables. Glad these are still kept in stock here.
