This mini fridge was purchased for my brother who lives in a nursing facility and needed something small which could sit on a chest of drawer or my night stand type table. It is very light and easy to move about and one has to be careful not to push it around too much to avoid tumbling to the floor. (My brother is visually impaired.) It was set at mid level coolness and it's adequate for keeping his leftover food treats fresh for later consumption. I have not tested the freezer section as of this date. He's happy, so I'm happy!

I purchased this Insignia mini fridge approximately 3 months ago and couldn’t be happier with my purchase! I have it upstairs in my master bedroom and absolutely love the convenience of not having to walk downstairs to the kitchen every time I want a bottle of water. It runs very quietly and I didn’t even notice an increase in my electric bill. I removed the wire shelf and can fit an entire case of 24 bottles of water in it. So happy with this purchase!

I do not need a full size fridge, just something small to store milk, eggs, yogurt, and drinks. This insignia works perfectly for that. I asked the salesman to open the box in store, so I was lucky to get one with almost no damages. It looks nice in black, has a surprising amount of room inside, and not much noise. I would not use it in the same room I sleep in, but most people would be fine. It makes a small pop sound each time the compressor turns on or off, but while running it only had a low hum with some water churning sounds. I mounted mine 2 inches from the wall, on carpet, using a side socket adapter. The fridge seems to radiate excess heat mostly from the sides, rather than the back. I've found that the average running cycle is about 2 minutes, followed by 8-12 minutes of down time before it cycles on again. Seems like it would not use much power. I followed the instructions very carefully, leaving the unit installed for four hours before turning on. It says the 4 setting on the thermostat is ideal, but I found that the temp will dip slightly below freezing at this level. I ended up turning it down to 3 the next day and have been monitoring temps. The 3 setting seems to be best for this model as it keeps foods right under the freezer area around 32F and items on the bottom around 36-40F. I never use the door on any fridge since it is always 45-50F and will slowly spoil sensitive foods. It is a good place to stash baked goods like muffins, and fruits that you want chilled but not too cold. The freezer is more like a chiller, as the manual states, and while the actual shelf gets down to 0F, the air inside is still only about 26-28F, meaning it will freeze water to make ice, but little else. Maybe an hour or two of temporary ice cream storage. Not really a concern, since I don't need a freezer anyways. The fridge does a great job keeping everything cold, and I noticed the freezer area has very little frost after a week of use. The removable shelf is a great feature and can be removed to store taller drinks in the main section, or put back to support a pie in the middle. The first day you plug it in, the unit will be louder than normal. By the second day, it will quiet down a lot. As with any fridge, there will always be a few lemons, but if you inspect the box and follow the directions, this model seems like a good buy. If it lasts a year, I would be happy.

My wife and I were tired of having to go downstairs multiple times a night to get milk and other drinks for our kids, so we decided to get this mini fridge for upstairs to make things more convenient. I have to say it has worked out great. Other reviews stated that it seems to run hot, mine does not run hot at all. It only did that on the initial plug in to get fully cooled down. The manual also says that setting the temperature knob to 4 tends to be the best setting for normal use. I have found that 3 to 3 1/2 tends to be better (so ice flakes are not in every drink). For it's size this fridge has a lot of space and can hold a lot more than you might imagine. It is also very small and can be tucked away very easily. Great value for the money. I am very happy with the product.

I bought this fridge as a Christmas present for my husband to use in his man cave. The size is perfect for a one-man cave and holds plenty of drinks and a few snacks. Keeps everything cold and runs quietly. The box came pretty beat up but that's the fault of UPS, not Best Buy.

We wanted a tiny fridge to hold sugar water and jelly for our birds so that it would be accessible on our back porch to make it easier to fill the nearby bird feeders. The fridge easily holds a 2 liter bottle of sugar water, and could easily hold two if necessary. It also holds a large jar of grape jelly and could hold several if required. This fridge does what we need it to do, and does so easily. What's more, it will be easy to move off the back porch (because of its compact size and light weight) before cold weather sets in. It would also work well under a desk in an office or in a dorm room!

I needed a new fridge for my pop up camper when the built in one went out over the summer. I bought this one after looking at many others to see what would work best. The summer is over now and I have it sitting in my dorm room for college. The small freezer works well and the fridge is quiet. This fridge fits in small spaces like my camper and dorm room but holds plenty of cold food and drinks for me.

I have been hesitant to purchase a fridge for my dorm room because I was afraid the noise would bother me. Let me say, this is one quiet fridge! It tucks discreetly under my bad and I've never heard a peep out of it! I was lucky enough to catch a great sale. I am very happy with my purchase. One small complaint: my local store did not have this in stock, so they shipped me one and it arrived with a dent in the side, which annoys me. But after carting the bulky package across campus, I did not feel like taking a second trip back to Best Buy.

I bought this for work. Fits under my desk. Gets real cold and holds 12 sodas and my lunch for the day. Just what I need and it's cheaper than others

We purchased this small fridge for our son's college dorm room and it does the job quite nicely. The fridge is small and quiet, inexpensive, and keeps drinks and food chilled. What else can you ask for?

I actually bought this fridge for my boat. It fits perfectly in the space, was easy to get on board and best of all it's really quiet! i originally bought an ACDC so I could run it while on the water but that one was really noisy and crapped out in less than a year. The design of the fridge is great byt don't count on the little freezer t keep anything frozen 'cuz it doesn't. The manual does tell you that up front though.

Was looking for a smaller fridge for a specific room and this was perfect. Portable meaning no issue to transport, yet the unit is solid and sturdy. Ample storage space for the size. Very easy to unpack and install. Very happy with the purchase. Sale price was a plus too.

I love it, its so small it can fit into a closet in my study or go out in the garage, or provide extra drink storage space in the kitchen or dining room if I have company. Keeps things cool, is very quiet. Very happy!

I like the compact size of the refrigerator good size for the office. There is enough room to keep your lunch and water. Along with other items.The refrigerator performs well it keeps all the items cold. I also appreciate the quiet performance.
