I was very hesitant to purchase an insignia freezer due to past experience with insignia products. I saw the price point and thought it couldn't be any worse than others, right? Wrong!! Purchased less than 18 months ago, the thing is dead in the water while my 10+ year old Kenmore freezers work without a flaw. With a one year warranty, I am "out in the cold" on this one. I am fortunate that I didn't lose hundreds if not thousands of dollars in food as other have. I have had it troubleshot to find that the compressor is bad - of course this is the most expensive part to replace, and with labor it would be economically foolish to have it repaired. The freezer still looks brand new and the compressor compartment was completely dust free. There is no reason for it to go bad with the exception of inferior products being used to build the insignia brand and price point it below others. This is the last insignia product I will every buy and would not recommend them to anyone. Yes, I could have bought the extended warranty to get three years of warranty coverage, but I shouldn't have to - it should have worked for 15 plus years easily as all major brand freezers do. Even if I had, for it to fail between years 3-15 would be unacceptable too and there would still be no warranty. There was no reason for this thing to quit working as it was in a clean environment and in a 55 degree environment which should help it run cool as well. Very disappointed once again with insignia.

I let it sit over night. After I pug it in within three hours it was get cold.

Bigger than previous chest freezer. Just need to make sure you take ALL measurements if purchasing from Best Buy Outlet store before purchasing as no exchange or returns there unless appliance not operating

Freezer was good price and perfect size to add as a second freezer. Holds half a beef and room for more. Curb side pickup was awesomechestt

Most bang for your buck! Great freezer that is well built! If you're looking for a deep freezer this is one of the good ones!

Great freezer size for an amazing price. This 10ft replaced a 7ft. Very simple to use. It took 3 trips to the store to pack this thing. Top notch service and delivery.

Its been 2 months now since purchasing, and haven't had any problems. Keeps things frozen. The light on front is nice since its plugged into a GFCI and I can tell if its been tripped. I had debated between this size and the next smaller version. For our family of 5, the smaller version would have been fine also.

Have had this item for a couple months now and it doesn't disappoint. Obviously can't speak to it's endurance, but it's exactly what I expected it to be...holds the cold well and doesn't seem to run a lot. Overall, great buy.
