    I put in it like 50 lbs of meat and it doesn't freeze it i hat to put ice bags inside but ice melted im not happy

    I would avoid.

    Had the freezer for two weeks, went on vacation and came home to find $1,500 worth of beef (1/2 cow) completely thawed. No power outage (confirmed with neighbors and nothing else was reset in the house). I turned it off and turned it back on, and it reset. Once reset, it froze the contents. That doesn't do any good for the already spoiled items. I wouldn't trust it, unless you had some alarm on the system to tell you when it failed.

    Broke in under two years

    Bought it, good deal, worked great. Just opened it up and over $400 in food is ruined. Less than two years old. Kept in my semi heated garage. Coils all clean, no dust on compressor. Everything still looks new but it wont turn back on and i lost all the food in the full freezer. Buy a different brand.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

    I had the unit for 1 year and half, the automatic defroster was not working appropriately, so I being manually defrosting it every 6 months. last month we came back from a weekend vacation and found the freezer warm with bad smell. lost ~20 lbs cow meat. When I opened the side door -where the motor is-, the motor is on/working -hot- and Freon is leaking on the ground. BestBuy said I'm out of warranty, and Insignia customer service they never answer their phone, even after holding for > 30 min.

    Failed at 3 and a half years.

    It was good while it lasted. I defrosted it every 8 or 9 months. I made sure to keep 6 inches clear all the way around it. It was a good freezer until it failed at three and a half years old. I freezer should last a lot longer than that. I won't buy another freon this company. I'm going shop for another and you can bet your butt it won't be an Insgnia.

    “To good to be true”No durability after a year. Runs out and like a china stuff can’t be fixed. Have to buy another but this time research better. Never buy this brand in my life. China drop. Waste of money. #neveragaing

    Was Damaged! Wasted My Time!

    I ordered a chest freezer online, drove 40 minutes to pick it up and 40 minutes back home, got it inside and opened it only to find out the corner trim is broken off of it! Now I have to load it all back up, drive ANOTHER 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back!

    Worked for 2 years and compressor went out. Good luck trying to find parts or trying to get Best Buy to help.
