I have never been able to find a lightning cable that could stand the test of time. The failures always occur due to a degradation of the lightning connector or some type of short occurring where the cord enters the lightning connector or the USB-C ends. These cables have a braided cover or jacket, and the joint where the cable melds with the ends in my opinion is the most well-made I have seen. The cables are 10 feet long and have a stated data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps depending on the device. Of course, they also charge a variety of Apple devices including iPhones, iPads, and iPods. These cables are certified to work with all Apple devices that utilize a lightning port. While they have a very high-quality cable jacket, which is the coating over the actual wire they are still very flexible without compromising their quality. I’m a firm believer in longer is better when it comes to cables for peripheral devices. I’ve found that the majority of cable failures occur by overstressing the ends as a result of tension resulting them being too short. This can also cause failures of the ports on the charging blocks or computers that may be attached.

This ten-foot charger cord is fantastic! It seems more durable than your standard iPhone charger cord. It is nice being able to charge my phone without feeling like I have to be stuck right beside it to use it. I can get up and move around. It is excellent for my vehicle, too. Anyone in the car can charge their phone, even sitting in the second row! I also bought it on a deal of the day which was a win!

Not so long ago I avoided Insignia products like the plague. I don’t know if this is one of few or if Insignia in general has turned around because this is the first product I’ve bought from them in years. What I can say is that these cables are outstanding quality at half the price of their competitors. They are a bit stiff but that helps prevent kinks. If you’re in need of extra-long durable lightning cables, you absolutely should buy these ones.
