This is a very good shredder. I replaced another brand I had for maybe 10 years and this one is so much better. Both are microcut so they do an excellent job of destroying the documents. But even with very heavy usage, this one has yet to stop for an overheat condition. My old unit would only go for about 10 minutes and then needed about 30 minutes of cool off time. That really put a damper on productivity. This unit is a bit quieter, a bit faster, and you know right away how sharp the blades are, it just cuts right through. It says it can handle up to 10 sheets at a time, but I usually only put 5 or 6 through at once. The wheels are nice, I put the brake wheels in back because I was always stepping on them when they were in front. I would buy it again.

This shredder is well designed, quiet and compact. The wheels are shipped in a bag inside the bin and attached easily. Shredding is quick and easy. There is no interference with either a smart TV or the stereo. I use an Insignia surge protector with it, just as a precaution, - because so far, this is the best shredder I have ever purchased. I have an older Insignia shredder, which still works, that I use to shred envelopes. If you get a huge amount of junk mail, I suggest cutting the glue strip off, as the manufacturer of this shredder does not want envelopes shredded, which apparently is due to the glue. The shredder is made in Vietnam, not China. To date, I have been pleased with all my Insignia purchases. Note: the bin holds a lot. I would suggest using a large stand-up paper bag for disposal or a large bag with ties in a barrel for dumping the shredded material.

Fast and easy to use. Excellent price for a very efficient paper shredder . It's compact , light and easy to empty the shredded paper. Easy and intuitive set up. Controls are not complicated .

Purchased this to replace our old one that wasn't working anymore. It's much quieter and shreds the material into very small pieces. It has handled plastic and staples without any problems. It was relatively inexpensive and works well.

This shredder makes easy work of 10 page packets, and can absolutely shred credit cards and similar tough items. This also does micro cut documents so information is securely disposed and unrecoverable.

Honestly, this shredder is great! It cuts your paper and cards into small pieces and its super sleek. No issues with overheating or jamming so far. It also comes with wheels so you can choose whether or not to use them. It’s 5 stars for sure!

Excellent shredding it does the job quick fast inaccurately, great for security purposes, I would highly recommend an item very happy with my purchase fixed right up under my desk.

I haven’t owned the shredder very long, but so far I’ve been very pleased. I bought a similar shredder from a different store that I ended up returning. That one was hard to empty and even though they promised it to be quiet, it was very loud. This is easy to empty and very quiet and the wheels make it easy to take it out and put it away in my small space. I would definitely recommend this product!

Our new Insignia shredder is much bigger and better than the smaller one that we had/were using over the years. Easy to use and much sturdier than our older one. Very satisfied with this new one!!

Our old shredder stopped working, so we bought this one. It does a good job of shredding, as no information is recognizable once the document passes through the machine.

I have been looking for a reasonably priced microcut shredder and I am very happy with this Insignia 10-sheet shredder. As a personal shredder, this works great for me as I usually don't shred more than 10 sheets. It works great and in my opinion, it is quieter than my previous strip shredder. I would give this 5 stars but it says that it is not recommended to shred envelopes due to the gummy flaps. But I shredded envelopes with credit cards and it was a breeze. Yep...love it!!

This product is perfect and easy to use, and best of all, it doesn't make noise like others when shredding paper. I recommend it.

I like how it shreds the paper so finely. It is very secure. I wish it would shred faster however. I also noticed that trying to shred 10 sheets of paper at a time will not work. I wouldn't use more than 5. However the price is very reasonable compared to other shredders. It is also relatively quiet too.

Great schreeder love that it's made by insignia very strong and portable to move around with its wheels. cross cut up to 12 sheets per time not noisy at all like others can also schreed ID's and credit cards

Always reluctant to buy shredders because they tend to be expensive and underpowered and don’t last long. So far, this has been one of the better ones we’ve owned. I really like the fact that it’s a cross-cut shredder. Security means a lot. As well, it handles Credit cards, CD’s, etc. It does the job nicely and doesn’t struggle as with others we’ve had in the past. Decent price-point, as well.

The machine is fast and very quiet, as long as the amount of paper is limited. The price was very reasonable.

This shredder is very good. It shreds everything down to tiny squares. Easy to empty easy to use large capacity.

Wonderful shredder that's quiet and does a good job. Its on wheels and has an easy dump basket. The wife ran it for two hours and it did not jam or over heat.

This shredder works very well for My home office function. In this political time I shred between 10 and 20 pieces of mail a day. The shredder never gets hot the window allows me to see when the tank is getting full and the shredding pieces are certainly well cut and defined. So far the unit has given off very little dust, it is quiet and relatively cool. I should have bought this shredder a year ago.

This was a gift for my daughter. She loves it. She said it is quiet and does a grea job at shredding her documents. She likes that the pieces are small and that she can remove the basket to empty it. I think this was a good purchase.
