The description of this item was very misleading. Also.. if it arrives damaged and you'd like to keep it at a discount, it is Best Buy's policy to refund in gift cards only, not original payment. Just things I wish I'd known before I made this purchase.

I've had horrific experience with refrigeration products. Went through 3 refrigerators in 3 years. Would have lost a small fortune if it wasn't for the in house warranty. Hopefully this freezer keeps working. Its nice and I like the upright because you can see whats in there.

I was throwing out a lot of moldy cheeses and vegetables on a regular basis. I set up 2 different types of properly calibrated thermometers in the fridge - one on the middle shelf and one on the door shelf. I made sure the door was not opened for less than 4 hours. The thermometer is set at 35F, but the interior of the fridge will not go below 40F. Checking regularly, the temp is still consistently running at 40F. This is dangerous. Looking into this problem, I found this to be a very common complaint. The freezer gets to freezing temperature so the unit is certainly capable of maintaining a proper refrigerator temp and yet it won't get to 35F. My unit is no longer under warranty, but I consider this to be actually a defect.
