Doesn't work

Finally just opened box to use on August 23rd, and it doesn't work! All it has to do is connect a pc to a display, but it doesn't, and it's not the PC nor the display as other cables work just fine. Too late to return (which seems like a quick return window for something like a cable, which doesn't like become obsolete or anything), so what a rip-off.
