However, I do not like the fact that it locks itself. You can never see your water level or how it's actually washing the clothes. I like that it has a deep basket (tub) to wash lots of clothes and bulky items.

I bought this unit because I have limited space and it has a decent tub size, but a smaller outside case. I have two main issues that I'll discuss and several smaller issues that I won't go into. 1. There is no manual settings on this machine, so I can't pick a length of agitation time, a water temp and agitation speed that I want. I have to try all the pre-sets to find one that fits what I'm looking for. And that proved fruitless. The delicate cycle runs for a hour...yes an hour, so all the clothes that I normally wash on delicate are looking worn out from all the endless agitation. So I use the short cycle which runs 38 minutes, but uses normal agitation, not gentle. 2. The normal/eco cycle that I would normally use quite a bit takes over your ability to set water temperature. When I tried to wash towels on warm, I got cold. When I tried to wash whites on hot, it gave me lukewarm. At first I thought that the water lines were switched, but as it turns out, it's programmed to prevent you from wasting energy using your water heater. So I don't use that cycle at all anymore. In addition, the owners manual is very limited, so you have to figure all this out on your own.
