So far so good, took me a little time to figure out this Hotpoint digital washer (written instructions weren't so good), and the installation technician was useless in explaining how to. I was a previous owner of a Hotpoint washing machine when it was analog/manual type and lasted me almost 14 years. I wanted something simple to use & that's what I like about this machine, I don't like a lot of button selections that you hardly use anyway. The sound this machine gives out is not so bad, you can get used to it easily, and not super loud like most people complain about. Clothes come out clean and it wrings water off clothes really good, which saves you a lot less time in the dryer for clothes to dry. At the start, If you want some water in drum for soap to dissolve and the lid stay open while doing so, don't use AUTO on the water selection (this locks the lid) that way you have water in the drum to add clothes on top and also use MAX for water level, otherwise, you don't get enough water for a big load.

It makes a horrible grinding noise in the wash cycle! Is this normal? Doesn't seem to effect performance!

Washer is a complete Disappointment, I purchased a brand new washer and apparently received a used one that has everything wrong with it, I’ve not even had it a month and it’s been down for at least 2 weeks, I’ve been trying for nearly 2 weeks to get an authorized warrantee provider out to look at it, But they’ve rescheduled 2 times, Best Buy and Hot Point have left me very disappointed and unsatisfied at this point
