This is a very long cable and perfect if you need the length. Insignia makes quality products that are built to last and this is no exception. This cable is a good replacement for your broken apple charger. The cable itself feels thicker, probably because of the braiding that coats the cable. This seems to make the cable feel stronger, but is still allows the cable to be flexible. I also like that they included a way to hold the cable together when rolled up. I was able to connect this cable to my fast charger, and my iPhone was still able to take advantage of the fast charging. The lighting end of the cable is small and allows you to plug it into the phone without having to remove a case. It does click into place and is very snug when connected to my phone. Overall this is nice cable that has a quality build. It should hopefully last a very long time and allows you to use your phone without having to sit directly next to the plug. This is very helpful when in bed as the extra length is very helpful.

It seems that there is a lot of variance with charging cables nowadays. Some will burn out a battery while others will charge to full in record time. This charger is one that will provide a solid charge, but has the look and feel of a shoelace. The braided exterior give extra protection while I am charging my apple devices. This cable is 7 feet long and is off white in color. It also comes with a branded cable strap that can secure extra footage of cable that is being unused. The apple and USB C ends of this cable are very well designed too, the space between the cable and the actual plug is has a rubber protective layer which will reduce the chance of a wear from forming. This has happened in past chargers, it seems that the area right between the cable and the plug is where it has tended to break down. All in all this cable is exactly what I would recommend. It is well built, comes with a nice cable wrap, and is braded on the exterior which provides and extra layer of proteciton.

Insignia is a Best Buy brand that offers a wide range of affordable, staple products ranging from televisions, home appliances, and various tech accessories. I'm a firm believer that, generally speaking, cables fall in that bucket of items that bucket of accessories that don't need to from top-tier, name brand manufacturers (with the caveat that you're not requiring any hardcore data transfer speeds or power needs). This USB-C to Lighting cable is perfectly sufficient to provide the max transfer speeds for iPhones with lighting ports (pre-iPhone 15). Lightning adapters are limited to USB 2 speeds, which caps out at 480 (Mbps - megabits per second) and this cable is able to meet that standard. Apple limits their "fast charging" to 25-27 watts so even if you use a 100W power brick, charging will not hit that level to ensure you're not damaging the internal battery. I tested this on the 140W charger that I have and my iPhone 15 Pro Max charged at the "fast charging" rate, so this cable is able to handle Apple's "fast charging" rates. This cable is Apple MFi certified (Apple's MFi program gives manufacturers access to the technical specifications and resources needed to create accessories that communicate with Apple devices using MFi technologies and components). I think this is important as it's not just some random, cheap cable that you can get at a gas station check-out line. The 10' length is GREAT for long-term use while sitting on the couch or laying in bed, especially if the closest outlet is far away. In addition, this cable comes with a rubber cable manager so you can wrap it up for storage or take it to go neatly. So far, the braided wrap is aesthetically pleasing and it doesn't stick onto different fabrics. One concern is that the white/gray coloring will be prone to discoloring over extended use and handling - especially if it's rubbing against a dirty floor or being handled by dirty hands. The ends have a brushed aluminum finish so it matches the design language of most Apple devices.

You might be thinking there's nothing exciting about a cable - but this one actually fits a pretty specific niche that exists at the moment. If you have newer Apple devices, the chances are they either don't ship with a charger at all, or you are now in the USB-C category. For those previous generation devices, if you have any of the cables from the ones that did ship with a charger, 99% it will be a USB-A connection -> Lightning. A few years ago this wouldn't be an issue - everything from wall outlets at airports to car fitted USB ports was USB-A , so those cables still came in handy - however the whole world has gone USB-C now. I admit its going to be nice to only have to worry about one set of common , standard cable connections, but that leaves me in a bit of a bind for those legacy devices that the kids still use - because now I need a collection of USB-C to lightning cables. You can buy them of course from Apple at a pretty price, but like every Apple cable I have ever owned the ends eventually crack and split - and that's not a direct critique of the Apple cables, its just that the ones I travel with tend to take a beating so I need something sturdier. I This Insignia cable is a perfect fit for all my issues above - its direct USB-C to Lightning (so now fiddling with USB A <-> adapters) for all outlet requirements and in the newest car. The braided cable seems to be bulletproof - time will tell I guess , but so far it's a good sturdy thing to handle. Minor addition comment but worth mentioning that it ships with some pretty neat cable tidy wraps - I don't know if you can buy them on their own, but I'll certainly be looking out for them as they do a great job of securing the slack cable (and with the Apple ones, you're pretty much on your own). Highly recommended over the generic Apple one - and depending on where you get your cables, probably a much more cost effective option.

Durable woven cable cover, both ends are shaped to resist breaking at what is usually the most vulnerable part of data/charging cables. I expect these to last the remaining life of all Lightning devices I still have, and I feel good about extending the useful life of older electronics -- but if I need to get more, you can't beat this price. The build quality is top-notch. The cable feels sturdy and durable, with reinforced connectors that inspire confidence in its longevity. I no longer worry about fraying or wear and tear, which is a common issue with other cables. The uses for this cable are MYRIAD. Charging, of course, but also many networking possibilities. Though I haven't used them for this purpose, they should be good for a direct wired connection between older Apple devices and newer ones with USB-C (Thunderbolt) port, meaning you can set up a new device & transfer data from your old one without using WiFi or Bluetooth. You can also tether a Lightning-port iOS device to a newer laptop (Windows, Chromebook, or Mac) with a USB-C port, to use the Apple device's Internet connection. With this cable you can also use a newer (USB-C) device with cell service as a USB-connected hotspot to an older Apple device (even a WiFi-only iPad) rather than rely on spotty WiFi or Bluetooth connections. Since my MacBook Pro has only USB C ports, getting a set of dedicated USB-C to Lightning cables made sense. The cable seems sturdy enough to withstand the daily business of being bent almost daily while moving the MacBook back and forth from its dedicated storage location to my work area. The 4ft length is perfect for plugging in my iPhone to a power brick but still long enough to move about the desk as needed. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this purchase. At this price, you won't go wrong with this cable for your daily charging needs. I would definitely recommend it.

Review of Braided USB-C to Lighting Cable The Braided USB-C to Lighting Cable by Insignia feel and look neat and clean design as unpacking from the box. It is white color with silver cover of each end makes good appealing from physical aspect. Each end covered by silver coated plastic which end has a rubber covering the braided cable part. Unlike the cables by Apple as reference, it doesn’t feel to have same problem. Apple cables as it being used the end part of the cable become broken as usages involves bending part of the end while it is plugged or have in a bag. Whereas with the cable from Insignia that part feels strengthen better to avoid or minimize that type of problem. On the cable itself, as is braided feels non slippery, solid material. Also it has an attached holder which is handy. A details to remark from the brand specification which I find good to know. 1. It is MFi-certified 2. Braised jacket withstands up to 15,000 bends 3. Data transfer rate up to 480 Mbps. From the above, although I couldn’t fully test to its specification, on Data Transfer, I did a back up from my iPhone 14 pro connected to MacBook. Usually with apple provided cable would takes me quite some time. But the same with Insignia felt the transfer was faster. Again, this is not considering exact data from iPhone to backup and not measuring exactly transfer rate as disclaimer. What I wish it were better: 1. The thickness could be thicker although I think this depend on preference, as thicker is is bit heavier. 2. The cover of connector were metal. 3. The rubber attached to the cover feels it will come out as usage increase. 4. The cable feels will get dirt very fast considering its material and color. In general it is good value for 10ft cable and with good data transfer rate at least compared to the provided by Apple.

This 10' long cable is just great! The 10' cable I had been using decided to stop working, so I was on a mission to replace it as soon as possible. I have 6' cables, but they aren't quite long enough. I use this cable to charge my iPhone 13. I need a long cable because I like to plug it in behind my couch when I'm watching TV and I guess it's a bit of a distance, plus I don't want anybody tripping on it while it's plugged in. This cable has a very nice braided covering. I prefer this type over the plain vinyl cords. This braided covered type cable is a little bit more bulky than the plain vinyl ones, but for using it in my house it is of course no problem. Yes it costs a little more, but it's worth it. They are usually sturdier than the thin ones. The connector ends are just right. one end is a lighting connector and the other is USB C. I am not sure if the white braided cover is dirt resistant, I guess only time will tell. This cable also comes with a nice silicone cable tie that can be stationed on the cable permanently, or it can be easily removed if you are not a fan of it. It has a diamond shaped nub to secure the belt hole. I like this better than a Velcro cable tie, it is more secure and doesn't attract cat hair.

This cable is a good value and a big upgrade from the cable that came with my iPhone. If you are planning on just trying to use the short, stiff, breakable cable that comes with the iPhone - do yourself a favor and get one of these before leaving the store. I have also found that this length (6-7 foot) is perfect for charging and using your phone at the same time, but still easy enough to roll it up and take it with you. +Pros 1. True 7-foot length. It is actually an inch over 7ft; I put a measuring tape on it because so many manufactures round up to save a few pennies. 2. Well constructed. I have found braided cables like this one to be very durable. The heads are also beefy with rubber strain reliefs where the head meets the braided section and a solid connection when inserted in the device. 3. I have used it with a variety of newer and older iPhones (8 to13) with no compatibility issues. 4. Integrated rubber cable strap is thick and holds the cable securely. <>Things to Consider 1. The heads on this cable are a little thicker than the OE Apple charging cable and some cheaper cables I own, which could be an issue for some cases that have a snug fit around the charging port. I will say that I have a few iPhones in my house and this cable worked for all of them without an issue with their case on, but they are fairly lightweight cases.

Had for months hasn’t stopped working yet ! Chargers are poorly made and so expensive now days. It’s also has a piece on cord that allows me to wrap up my cords and stop from unraveling

These cables are solid performers….love the 10’ length to eliminate cord pull. Have bought others thru Amazon a few times and they always show issues in less than 6 months….I think I get swayed by all the pretty-colored ones, when these white ones appear thicker and more robust.

I needed a longer cord since my wall outlet was not close by. It was perfect. Now I don’t have to keep walking over to the wall outlet to keep checking if my phone is 100% charged. Super fast charging .

Got this charger because my cord from the place I got my phone at started to come apart (like usual). I also wanted a longer cord and this is definitely long enough!! Am able to use my phone while it charges from any outlet, even if it's not right next to me. Super convenient. The braided material around the cord seems super durable too - so we'll see how it holds up!

product is well made and charges fast I have purchased less expensive cables and there are a lot out there you get what you pay for.......... this cable is slightly more expensive but it will last longer and more important it charges way faster than the less expensive cables out there
