I was not shopping for a new TV, but there it was a 40" LED HDTV for $159. I quickly jumped online to read the reviews. That was it, impulse buy made. I no longer need to view my dim and color off 28" tube TV. I have been using the TV for about a month, It great. I have only one complaint. This TV is in my bedroom, even on 1, the volume is a little too high. Well worth the money.

This particular unit was purchased as a replacement for an earlier model of the same 40" Insignia from prior years. The previous one did exactly as it was intended and I am seeing no reason(s) this one won't do the same. MY only complaint is paying $25 to recycle Best Buys own brand while providing all handling myself.

This was an excellent value. Perfect for a guest room, or for the kids to play their video games on. It's got a very acceptable picture for the price, and OTA TV looks good on it too. What it's not: the bleeding edge of tech. If you're looking for bells and whistles, you'll need a different model. But if you want a good, basic "TV", I don't think you can beat it for the price.

Bought this to replace my sons 32" insignia for his game room.. All around great TV for what he uses it for. I would have given 5 stars but the sound really isn't what I was expecting. The picture quality is just as good if not better than my LG. Great TV, good sound..

Excellent picture; exceptional value! I'm highly satisfied with the quality of this television. This is my second Insignia TV, and I enjoy this one even more than the previous one. Delighted to find a large size screen TV that fit into my budget.

Got this TV for my husband for the bedroom. It has a great picture and the sound quality is very good. Don't have to fumble in the dark to change channels, sound, or power off/on because those buttons are florescent! Very good buy for the money!!!

What can I say 40 inch 1080 TV for $250. Great buy! Great picture. Would buy again.

I bought this to replace a 32" mounted on the wall of my bedroom. Has excellent quality picture and sound is great. Had the dog looking around to find barking dog on screen. Would buy again and recommend.

Bought on pre-Black Friday sale for a great price (under $200) to use as an outdoor TV. Has a good picture with decent brightness. Once we get a little shade on the patio the picture is bright enough to view. This is a very basic set but for the price I wasn't looking for great features. A friend saw the deal I got and bought one for his outdoor TV. He's also very happy with the purchase.
