Purchased this for our daughter's living room and she says the quality of the sound and picture are very good. Was worth buying the Insignia brand, to get the larger screen at a reasonable price. Purchasing it near home and picking it up at the local store near her campus was very convenient.

My husband actually purchased this TV for use as a large screen monitor in the lobby of his work to relay pertinent product information to customers and vendors while they wait for their appointment. The picture quality is much better than was expected for such a reasonably priced larger TV.

I bought this tv for a work out room. Works just as it should. I don't care about colors or things that a gamer or serious movie watcher might for this set. Colors are good, no dead pixels, sound quality is good.

I've never tried any Insignia products before this one. It's got a great picture & sound. Set up was very easy. Was bought to replace 32" TV & was able to purchase ONLINE on Black Friday!!! No standing in lines like at Walmart...click, click, DONE! Great job, Best Buy!!

I picked this up for my Mom. I can't believe the picture quality. It's very good. I typically buy Samsung 9000 series. However this is a great TV for all around use. And you cant beat the price. Thanks Best Buy. looking forward to Black Friday 2015 to purchase another TV

This was purchased as a gift for my son. He absolutely loves it. I have an Insignia with a smaller screen and I was very happy with it so when it was time for this house warming gift, I was happy to find this one on sale with free delivery. He is very pleased and so am I.

I checked out a bunch of differet tvs, and decided on this. Couldn't be happier with my chioce. Great picture, looks and overall quality.

Great black Friday find. We were looking for a larger set for our bedroom & the one we wanted was sold out. We took a chance on this one & have not been disappointed.

I purchased this television without really knowing if it was what I was looking for. I'm extremely happy with the quality of everything from the picture to the speakers.

I got a great bargain for a 40" flat screen, the television is worth the price I got it for. I don't think the geek squad warranty is worth it, I've never had to use the geek squad for anything but computer stuff, so I'd recommend another warranty for the televisions.

We purchased this TV for the bedroom after our older set lost audio completely. We didn't plan on getting one so soon but I am very happy with it. Great picture and so nice, to have a HDTV smart TV in the bedroom. The sales Representative was most helpful and the price was fantastic.

A great TV for the price. Especially if you just want a TV and don't want all the bells and whistles like 4k resolution, Ultra HD, Built-in Wifi, or making smoothies.

I believe my Insignia - 40 Class (40 Diag.) - LED - 1080p - HDTV - Black is a great TV. It is a perfect size, color, and sound is good and it fits my TV stand. So far so good!

I needed a tv for the games over a weekend. My old tv just wasn't going to cut it. Found out this model was on sale and it was actually recommended by one of the sales associates. I bought it and took it home. Was an excellent buy and continues to serve its purpose.

Purchase my TV during Black Friday (Thursday). We went for the 55" but got there late and managed to get this one instead. Picture is good, works well with Fire Stick, movies and streaming. Very happy with my purchase.

This is my first TV and I didn't really know what I was trying to get, I just wanted 1080p resolution and 40 inches. I have enjoyed having it and it's interface is easy to use. It turns off automatically after standing by for about 10 minutes. 10/10 would buy again

never buy your tv from walmart. i did, ended up returning it and coming to best buy to get a quality product. picture is great, sound is average, good for me. kids and wife keep losing remote though oh that's not the tv's fault :) Highly recommend this television.

Easy setup and the picture is fantastic. The stand the TV rests on is a bit wobbly so make sure the stand is sturdy and nothing bumps into it (animals, children, drunk people, etc). Make sure to have a cloth under the stand too if on wood because it can scratch if you move it around.

My old TV went up so I purchased this tv online. When I got it home and set it up, I was please with the sleek and slim design, which took up less space then my previous flatscreen with the same dimensions.
