Interior Light does Not Work

It fits into a nook area so it is out of the way yet conveniently located. Problem; the interior light does not work. Repeated emails with technical support asking for a replacement light have left me with the recommendation to return the unit for exchange which is not acceptable because we are all set up and do not want to risk defrosting our long term storage. We had the choice of buying brand new in the box or the floor model which seems to be SOP at Best Buy; they only stock two products. We chose new in the box because we thought we would have a fully functioning model.
