Bought this for a flight where 3 people could view a movie on an iPad. With every additional component added the sound dynamic was reduced. With only 3 sets of ear buds no one could hear well enough to watch the movie. Took the product back as soon as I returned from the trip.

For dividing the output into 5, your gain has to be quite high. Make sure that the source of audio (Computer, amplifier, TV) has it's volume all the way up.

I purchased this splitter and my speakers were amazing and I did not have to purchase a sound card!
