It's a power surge protector and you can plug your electronics in and have your electronics powered without anything going haywire. I've had it for a while now and nothing bad has happened. Surge protectors

But remember, once they have been tripped, you have to replace them if you want protection. Otherwise, all you have is a multiple soccet plug. I always replace or buy a new one to go with new electronics. High marks for this one.
