I bought this product about a year ago...(2 of them for both my boys) both of them ended up just turning off one day and NEVER worked again...they wouldn't charge and wouldn't turn on, I didn't purchase insurance for them and ended up just throwing them away...they lasted us about 5 months. I went ahead and purchased them again this year for Christmas and I set them up last night...one of them wouldn't pick up the wi-fi at all. Had to keep powering off..rebooting...resetting to factory settings...I set it down, and until the next day got it to work, it was able to pick up wi-fi and it set up fine...putting the battery to charge takes a very long time.....One of the tablets set up just fine...read the wi-fi perfectly..set up some apps..etc....next day I turn it on to put more apps on it and it didn't turn on AT ALL. I thought maybe it had ran out of battery...so I plugged it in and NOPE...doesn't want to turn on at all. The exact thing that happened the first time we had purchased the product. WOULDN'T recommend this product.

Life was going great for me and my tablet.I had downloaded apps,taken photos,browsed the web,ect.I bought it a case and a keyboard.(Sadly they don't have glass screen protectors)It was slow,but I expected that from a cheap tablet.But what I didn't expect was that the display would shattered from a foot drop.I went to set the tablet down on the floor so I could tie my shoes,but it accidentally slipped from my hand.So I bent down to pick it up thinking "It was only foot,it shouldn't have done anything to it"Boy,was I wrong.The glass itself hadn't broke, but the display had been badly cracked and slightly discolored.It also slowed down the tablet even more.Plus,the battery life is horrible.So in summary: Does it work?-Yes if you're looking for something cheap and temporary. Is it a good price?-As I said before,yes if you're looking for something cheap. Is it durable?-OH HECK NO! Would I recommend this?-If it was more durable I would. So my final review is...Don't buy this unless you're looking for something temporary.You may think that "Oh I never drop my tablet"But this thing is so fragile,that I wouldn't be surprised if just a little bump broke it.

Good price for an Android 6.0 tablet. The screen is surprisingly good at this price point and very bright. But, the CPU causes poor performance in most applications. If you can live with some lag when opening and navigtaing in applications, it's a great buy. But, if you need something that performs, you will have to spend more.

It started out nicely. But it didn't read either of the two microSD cards I tried (both can be read by other devices). Then over the course of 1 hour, it went from 50% power to 0%power, while charging, while in standby. Now if I'm lucky it'll claim up to 2% charge while plugged in and off - wont turn on, even while plugged in.

I purchased this tablet for my daily use. I was able to download all the apps that I need. Checking email, watch CNN, Fox News, no problem! I wish the audio sound and picture pix are better quality. I understand I got what I paid. Overall, it is a good product for that price.

This is the worst android i've ever used! I usually love android's and I have everything from Chromecast audio & video to vizio smartcast TV which was the reason I purchased this tablet. I wanted a basic tablet to use as a control where I can download the vizio cast app and a couple of video service apps that can be cast to the tv...very basic stuff. This tablet fails at the most basic uses like typing, opening stock apps like notes and calendar and emails. Its really a $60 piece of junk! It lags a lot, crashed often, restarts for no reason and turns off with a full charge. It did work well the first week but after only 20 days the issues started. I'd recommend you do not waste your money on this product. Even for the most basic of functions this tablet is awful and will only frustrate.

I've had this for less than a year and the battery is all but dead. I guess you get what you pay for and this tablet was cheap and is cheaply made. I would pay more if I knew the battery would last a few years.

Tablet was great for the first year and now the battery does not keep its charge... yes, for the money it did not seem like a bad deal, but the battery could have been better. I would not recommend this product to anyone!

Not bad considering the price but web browsing is kinda slow and unresponsive at times. I am able to stream YouTube and other video content. I use it for that and to connect to Bluetooth speakers to stream music but stick to my iPad for web browsing.

Good tablet to start with for kids recommend it for a gift for kids and t start with before purchasing a higher value one.

I purchased this 29 days ago on sale and really wanted to like it. I did an earlier review that mentioned some charging problems, but the rest of it was positive. Unfortunately, for the third time, the battery seems to drain randomly and is difficult to recharge. This time, it does not want to recharge, so I'm taking the unit back for a store credit or refund.

Tablet, works well for the price, only real downside was unable to root tablet, to be able to run root apps. I have finally got the device rooted, so all is well. This tablet is low end just for beginners, if you need a fast tablet, this isn't for you, slow an steady is what this tablet it.

hands down the worst tablet ever made. the processor in this tablet is so bad that most of the devices that I own won't work. maybe its the android version I don't know but it is awful . it is laggy and buggy all of the time. every time you touch the screen there is a slight delay that is very annoying. my smartwatch and ring doorbell won't even run on this piece of garbage. you get what you pay for. it is VERY slow. avoid

Has some good qualities: nice virtual keyboard, clear display, decent sound. Slow, but this is a budget machine and that was not a deal-breaker. Good storage for the money. However, I picked it up on Dec 23, gifted it to my wife on Christmas, who enjoyed using the 'brain training' app my son downloaded for her. But then it stopped responding to the power button on Dec 29. Will be using Best Buy's return policy sometime in the coming week.

Good Price for Day to Day Tablet.. Was wondering on the warnt. on this unit after I ordered Didn't like having to spend 1/2 hr looking finding that information .. on this unit Went to Insignia home page then had to still had a time finding.. Wondered why .... Wont be ordering any more Insignia.. Scarry

This tablet is just what I needed and for a deal that was to good to pass up.

First-time buyer of a tablet. I like the 8-inch screen. Well within my Price Range. However, I could not load some Apps while other Apps took a ridiculously long time to load (if at all). My Google Play films did not work properly after downloading them. The WiFi is unreliable. Less than three days after I purchased the Insignia tablet, I returned it to Best Buy for a refund. My advice: Pay the extra money for a Samsung Tab A. It cost twice as much for a 7-inch screen, but it's super fast, better screen resolution, and downloads & loads all my Apps & movies just fine. I love it, though my budget is hurting. Ultimately, you really do get what you pay for. P.S. I noticed that the screen resolution is 1280 x 800 on 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch tablets. Meaning, you're going to get the sharpest picture on the 7-inch tablet. But you will lose sharpness on the larger screens because the resolution is not increased to retain image quality. Especially on a 10-inch screen, the picture is fuzzy. :(

This looked like a great purchase initially. It had good screen quality for the price and plenty of storage space. My 11 year old son saved up his allowance for 5 months to buy this. He was really enjoying having his own tablet. After only 4 weeks of minor use it will no longer turn on. It was used no more than 1 hour a day. He is very gentle on his things and took exceptionally good care of it. Now he is without a tablet and all his savings. Extremely disappointed. Save yourself the frustration and get something else.

If you play online games it lags really bad. It still works but be patient with it. The only thing that sucks is the charger that came with it doesn't work. Good thing I had another android charger laying around the house.
