The screens were both terrible. They flickered. You could literally watch them refresh as the movie was playing.
The speakers didn't provide any sort of volume. They were so quiet, even turned all the way up, that we could still hear the motor spinning the DVD.
The motor that spins the DVD is also obnoxiously loud. It would spin up, buffer a small bit of data, and spin down, only to have to repeat the cycle constantly. There was also no or inadequate shielding between the motor and the speaker cables because you could hear popping along with the motor spinning coming through the speakers.
And the screens were also affected by the DVD drive motor.
We bought this, set it up, tried to play a DVD, turned back around and exchanged this item for a Panasonic. The Panasonic doesn't have any of these issues.

Left side audio output creates loud buzz

Silly me bought this and didn't open it until enroute on our long car ride during vacation. Of course, it was not usable and a major disappointment with lots of screaming and kicking for the rest of our trip. PROBLEM: The left audio output creates a crackling, buzz so loud that you can't hear the movie. Without headphones, it is audible through the left speaker. With headphones (3 different brands), the left earphone will deafen you with the buzz. I will never buy Insignia products again.
