Great and Handy Lid

This will help when slow cooking my beef stew and chili as well as other recipes when using the slow cooker function. I can see the progress of the dish without removing the metal lid. I look forward to using this iin the near future.

What I don't like about it is the fact that it's a little small... It fits very loosely on the 6-quart inner pot & it leaks steam around the edges, rather than just through the steam vent hole. If I don't wedge it to one side with something like a toothpick or a folded piece of paper it would leak steam upwards to the bottom of my cabinets. I have the cooker pulled out completely away from under the cabinets but the steam shoots out at an angle. You might do better to check & see if you already own a pot lid that will fit better rather than buy one that doesn't fit properly. Poor fit is why I docked one star from the product rating.

I mainly use to keep food warm in one pot while making a quick second dish in my additional insert pot. I also plan to use for the slow cooking feature.
