    Overall decent desk but questionable QC

    The shipping is super fast. I received the package 1 day earlier than expected. I think it's a overall decent product. I won't repeat many positives mentioned in other reviews. However, there are 2 issues for me: 1. Cracked paint on the front side of the desk. I don't know if it's just cracked paint or a deeper issue. See the pictures for details. 2. Deep scratch on the back side of the desk. See pictures for detail.

    The desk overall is good. It's sturdy. It moves up and down smoothly, and it's just the right size for two monitors. However, from day one it has difficulty going up and down. The difficulty is in the up/down switch and not the motor. I'll hold the up button, and it will start going up, then randomly starts going down again. I can get it up, it just takes a little longer messing with the controls. Ridiculous that it's doing this right out of the box.

      Sorry to cause the trouble. Could you please take the reset function of control box? Press the DOWN button till to the lowest, then resume work ok. The control box could start working normally. BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

    When this desk arrived it was not too difficult to put together and looked amazing. For two months and after using it everyday while working from home, I was still really content with it. The only issue I noticed was that to adjust it up (keep in mind I'm pretty tall so I adjust it up as far as it will go) the desk would hit it's max height and automatically/suddenly start moving backdown. Kind of annoying but not that big of a deal. However, at exactly two months of daily use (Monday - Friday). I went to adjust it back up and it DID NOT move... It would only go down. You'll see other reviews that say the same thing. I know there are only a few of those reviews but don't disregard them, it's a real issue. I contacted Best Buy support and they put me in touch with Insignia. The desk is covered under a 1-year warranty and Insignia is coordinating with Best Buy to send someone out to fix it. Or replace it if they're unable to repair it. Overall, the support from both Best Buy and Insignia has been pretty good. However, it's frustrating that I'm dealing with this at all after only 2 months of use. I know that most reviews on this are pretty good at a pretty good price. However, if I was to do this all again, I'd probably would have paid more for better quality. Just something to keep in mind.

    Nice Desk but Damaged

    I ordered this in November 2021 and just got to opening it now. It was easy to assemble BUT I was so disappointed when I realized it came damaged. The table top was cracked, you are not able to see it until you turn it over after assembly (you have to assemble it with tabletop face down). A review by “Ning” 6 months ago had the same exact issue. The controller was kind of weird too. When I press and hold the up button it suddenly stops and starts to go down. I got it to the height I wanted by pressing the button in increments. I’ll give it a 2nd chance by exchanging it, but what a hassle :(

    Okay - but problems with the motor

    I was so excited about this desk. It is a good size. Was easy to assemble. I had one and the motor was faulty. When I pressed the button up or down for more than 2 seconds, it would stop and go in the reverse direction. I returned and got a second one. It worked fine for a while but now is doing the same thing. I'm just dealing with it because I am not shoving another one back in the packaging, hauling it the store, and going through the whole process again. Not sure if I just got two faulty desks. Everything else is great but it is frustrating that it doesn't do the one thing I got it for consistently.

    I read through these reviews so i assume i got a defect but the controls on mine dont work at all! Every time i go to push it up, it goes a little bit, then right back down. Then i have to toy with it repeatedly to get it to go where i want. Honestly, the glitchiness has been a deterrent to using it regularly. I wish i would have returmed it but assembly/disassembly was a consideration.

    Worked fine for about six months. I walk into my office one morning and try to elevate the table, and it doesnt respond. Checked all cables and they're fine. Unplugged and plugged it back in. Down button makes a click as though it's still engaged. Up botton does nothing, no click even.

    I LOVED this desk, still do. Less than a month after using, the desk has stopped going up. Bummer, because I truly loved the concept, and the desk itself.

    The desk works as a desk. If you plan on sitting with it OR standing with it, it works perfectly. The problem I encountered was with the adjustable part. Hold the down button and it goes down, until it reverses and goes up for no apparent reason and then stops moving all together. Same with the up button. It's done this with nothing on top of it, or around it, so it isn't a weight or clearance issue. The work around I found is to press it a bunch of times to allow it to move short distances so it doesn't have the time to reverse on you. Also, the motor is bit loud.

      There are two reminding notes of reset on desk top. See below detailed descriptions:
      • If the (UP) button is not working, press and hold the (Down) button until the desktop reaches its lowest position and rebounds. When it stops, the reset is successful.
      • If the (UP) and (Down) buttons are not working, unplug the power plug and wait for two minutes. BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

    Good desk. A touch small but workable. Easy assembly and solid. Giving it a low rating because the controls do not function properly. Sometimes they work as intended, sometimes it suddenly reverses directions while keeping one button pressed. Sometimes it goes in the wrong direction for the button. Sometimes it reverses direction after releasing a button. Fiddling with it can get it where I want, at least for now (after a few days) with my controller, so 2 stars instead of 1. If the controller stops working completely I will obviously have to return it, which will be a hassle as it's heavy.

    Like the desk but the power lift is not working correctly. When trying to raise the desk it will continually raise a few inches and drop back down. It will do that for 7 or 8 times before raising to the height I want it at.

      Sorry to cause the trouble. could you press the UP & DOWN at the same time 5 seconds to reset the control box, then you can raise the height you wanted. Thanks.

    not very stable. Swingy when in high elevated level. Sometimes the control has this problem: when keep pressing, it will go in one direction for a second and reverse for a second. No idea how to solve this

    Motor stopped after 14 months. It was fine before that, this the two stars, but even at the decent price I would like something to last more than the one year warranty.

    It worked for about a year. It just stop working. Never use it as much. Maybe one or twice a week. Looks like the bottoms were cheap.

    We got this table .. set it to the height we needed it, no problem. A year later (today) we go to move the desk, and it goes down, but not back up. Trash.
