      Hello Nerissa,

Our customers feedback is our priority, I understand what you're going through, buying a cable that stopped working after five days can be more then frustrating and this should not be happening. I do recommend that you contact us at Insignia so that we can determine the resolution.

Have been using this product for 15 days while suddenly got an error message in my iphone saying they didn't support this cable and it is not charging anymore. I am extremely disappointed and on top of everything I have to make time to come back and return it.

These are worth the cost and I love the 10' length for plugs that are across the room. The quality is good with the Apple MFi certification and it follows through, I have had two of these for 1-2 years and they still work fine. Much better than those cloth bound cables that short out quickly, won't charge & communicate with iTunes, or charge very slowly.

Insignia brand phone charger is less expensive than an Apple phone charger and works just as great. I recommend this product to anybody especially the 10 foot cord is so nice to have where you're not bending the cord and it last longer. I have a cord in every room of my house and buy them for my family as well they have all been happy with it

Great for the first 6 months

The amount of use that comes with my lightning cable is huge, and I decided to go with a 10 foot cable because it could stretch across my bed from the outlet, as well as came in handy for next to my computer too. On the go experiences, in hotels and such made charging easy. But soon I found out within 6 months the most bended place on the charging cable began to fray. It broke open and wire was exposed, which was seemingly cut from the insides of where the lightning port was. It was not good. I did experience a great time for a good while but the cable could not last even a year, which I think is a big failure.

It’s more substantial than the Apple cord and about 4’ longer... actually cheaper too....replaced an Apple cord because it was breaking near the connection where it plugs in, so this one being about twice as thick should last longer..hopefully..

The Insignia charging cable has been our go to cables. Long lasting and the price is great. I have purchased several for the family in 4,6 and 10ft lengths. Always good to have a 10ft when traveling and not having access to outlets close by.

Best non Apple cable out there. 10 feet in length means a lot. You can charge any where comfortably. Does not charge as fast as shorter cable but it's slightly slower not a big deal. Love this. Bought three more for relatives.

I needed a long cable to use in a room with a far outlet. This cable works great. I've had no issues with charging my iPad or iPhone. I haven't used the cable to connect to my computer. This cable is a little more stiffer than the original apple cable. It seems more durable than original apple cable.

Longer, tougher--and a lot cheaper than Apple cords. The rubber on the phone side is bigger than an Apple cord too. Make sure it will fit past your case to plug in to you phone-- it won't fit in the opening of my Lifeproof case. Luckily it's not my everyday case. Works fine with sleeves like my Speck Grip.

    If there were a 6'....

Once you go from the stock 3' cable to anything longer it always seems safer to have more than less. This 10' cable was replacing my previous 10' that I bought some time ago. Does anyone really need 10' no but there are those moments when you're thankful you did have that length!! Now onto the important stuff quality and durability. I've believe I've had this particular brand for a month and I'm pleased with it. It feels sturdy and able to last longer but then again it's only been a month and I don't jump rope with it....although I could if I wanted to ;). Bottom line if they made a 6' I believe that would be a nice happy median between 5' and 10' but still pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to others.

This works exactly as designed. While I don’t know precisely what “Apple MFi Certified” means, I’ve assumed it’s a sort of guarantee that it’s compatible with Apple products based on Apple’s own standards, versus some other 3rd party products that may fail overtime. This does not. I’ve had this same product for several years and only needed to replace it after I accidentally ripped the USB portion of the cord from the rest of it. Totally my fault and I damaged the product. The wire is also a bit thicker (which I prefer) than the standard cable that comes with Apple products. It also has a Velcro wrap to help keep it organized

I bought this cord to replace my original apple cord. It's 10ft long and very good quality. This was definitely worth the money. However, I will note it does take a bit longer to charge my phone.

Who doesn't need an extra long charger. This one is perfect. And while there are cheaper ones. You will replace that one well before you replace this one. Def worth the extra $10.

I always thought the standard cords were long enough until I was convinced to try out a 10' cord. Goodness gracious....where has this been all my life! We now own 3 of these 10' cords. Those of us old enough to remember, it's like when we got the long cord for the telephone (before cordless) and we finally had the freedom to walk around a little. I especially like it when traveling. Not all hotels have upgraded their nightstands with sockets. Insignia has made quality goods for a while now and this 10' cord is one of them too. It's also sturdier than the standard cord and can really take a beating.

This is my second purchase of this cable. My first one was over a year ago (not sure exactly when) and I used it heavily for all that time, so I believe it lasted much longer than a regular length one would have. I patched the fraying end with electrical tape but that only worked briefly so I replaced it. The 10 foot length makes it ideal for use in bed, on the couch, on a plane, and other situations where one is far from an outlet or the outlet is hard to stay connected to otherwise. The tougher material means it won't fray as easily (my old one only did near the lightning end after a long time), though that, combined with the length, makes it harder to keep compact. With those tradeoffs in mind, it's a great charger to have along with a couple of shorter ones.
