I bought this item online earlier this year, so I've had several months experience with it. It does exactly what I wanted it to do: keep the cap safe. The cap and the cover can easily flip off the pen, but only when you are fiddling with the top of pencil in the way you would with a wood pencil eraser or a pen cap. But if you don't fiddle, no problem. It has held up very well and there does not seem to be any wear or tear on the connecting piece between the cap cover and the part that encircles the pencil. I was really happy to find that this piece of equipment existed and will not go without it for even a minute. It gets a four because the soft material feels a little slick and the piece that fits around the pencil isn't really tight and slides up and down the pencil body when handling the pencil near the top end. Not a deal breaker, but a little annoying.

So far so good. I hope the materials don't wear out like rubber bands do. It prevents the cap from getting lost.

The other reviews say it all. For me it's a must-have for the first gen pencil. Don't lose your cap!

If you have the Apple Pencil this has to be your very first purchase. Apple should include this with every Pencil they sell.

The concept is good, unfortunately I often find the cap holder has completely slidden off the pencil. The silicone is not tight enough to stay on the pencil under the same circumstances that caused me to purchase this in the first place. It stays on the cap but not on the pencil. Gonna try another brand and see if that will work. Don’t waste your money on this one.

Not actually the cap. This is a cap for the cap that comes with the pen. Poor labeling kn the product to mislead consumers.

This was not the pencil cap for my iPad Air so it was returned. Wish I knew that before I purchased it.
