Q: There was an extra piece in the box with a round end and an oblong end. What is it for?
A: It holds my pencil gender adapter for charging. Makes it a little harder to lose.
A: The cap slides onto the Pencil and over the Pencil cap. It stays attached to the Pencil when charging. A must have in my opinion , in order not to lose the Pencil cap(which I Did) I could not find a replacement cap for the Pencil. When I bought a new Pencil, I found this and bought it. Problem solve. hope this helps.
