I bought this player two weeks ago and have had some issues with it. The physical set up of the player is easy. Setting up Netflix and Pandora is also easy. The first day YouTube didn't work and it still doesn't. The player will sometimes freeze. It also will act like it's going to turn off, but then it will turn on again. You have to reactivate Netflix and Pandora everytime after you exit.

I really wanted this to work well, but it didn't. It constantly looses the wifi settings, and then you have to re-connect the device to netflix and enter everything again. It also would not allow a dvd to be paused, so we had to stop it. When we tried to resume the movie, the player froze up and we had to unplug it to get it to unfreeze as it would not respond to the power button. The third time it happened, I decided the great price wasn't worth it.

Looking for a resonably priced 3D DVD player; saw this one and was ecstatic.Bought it immediately and when I got the store to pick it up, the drama began. I was given the wrong item, though the box clearly listed Ipad keybord . I told her this was not what I ordered she assured me it was just the packaging....had to go back to the store, waited more than 30 mins while they asked somebody from warehouse to help look for it....what do you know, it was just behind the register same placed I had asked 2 diff associates to look. When I tried set up the DVD, the remote did not work even after I put new batteries in. Still willing to keep item, but I was asked to pay for the remote...$7.99 + $5.99 shipping though I am still within 30 days of purchase.....I decided to return it. My understanding is refurbish means restored to original setting; this one wasn't and that's just too bad

I love insignia products because they worth it!!! I got this blu-ray player for a very good price and I am very happy with it. Easy to setup: just connect it to your tv with hdmi, then put your password to your wifi as you do with your laptop and there you go. Easy wizard lets you to configure the unit and update the firmware if required. No rocket science needed! Excellent picture and sound. Watch blu-ray or stream movies from youtube, cinema now or netflix. It can be even controlled (auto off) if you pair it with some Insignia LED TVs. Plays MP3, AVI, MP4, MPEG from a usb flawless...

Primrary reason I purchased this player was for watching Netflix. The wireless connectivity only works if its in the same room as the router. I tried a million times to connect from other rooms, but only worked perfect when I purchased a 50ft ethernet cable, which makes wireless pointless. Its not my router bc I tried different routers and I have a long range router. Aside from the connection issures, whenever I am able to connect, there's been times when it completely freezes on me. I have to longpress the player's power button to turn off & on again. Pain in the behind. I've given up on this player. About to purchase a different brand!!!!

I don't have any complain with this bluray player. actually, i'm afraid of buying refurb products because of negative reviews. so, i bought this bd player and tried it and was not so bad. i just have one complain though--wifi connectivity is poor. we have several gadgets using wifi and don't have any issues with our network but this one, i still use an ethernet cable so i could watch netflix.

i've been wanting to get a blu ray player for quite some time, especially one with wi fi so i can watch netflix on my tv. i was browsing best buy's website i found this for $49.99 and it even had wi fi. so i bought it. it came in and i immediately hooked it up. set up was a breeze and setting the internet up was also wicked easy, way more easy than it was to set up my play station 3 to the internet. i was immediately able to get on netflix and pandora to stream music and movies. both the audio and video are stunning. it's just great. i can't be more happy with it. and you just can't beat the price!

i am very dissatisfied that the tray does'nt open was hoping even though refurbished it would still work up to standards atleast in the beginning
