It's clear, so you can actually see the color of the phone. However, the plastic feels kind of thin and it doesn't seem like it will protect the phone from a standard drop on a hard surface, like a sidewalk or parking lot. It might actually protect it, but since I haven't dropped it I can't give an actual drop result.

I have the phone in blue. The plastic is glary in direct light and therefore you can not appreciate the nice blue color coming through even though the plastic is clear in certain lighting situations.

The inside part has "micro dots" which prevent it from getting air bubbles and the screen sticking to the back. This is my second one. My first one got very dirty (I work at a restaurant) and my phone also survived a few 3ft drops. I would recommend.

Great Case For The Money

I have always used a case to protect my purchases and the Insigna case stands up just as well as the others for half the price. It protects face from scratches while face down as it is raised by the tabs on the corners of the case. the same is done on the back to protect your camera lenses. Great case for the money!
