This is probably my fourth or fifth insignia case and the first one for the iphone 16. This case is similar to other ones, but I really like the groves on the side of the case. This textured side gives me some grip when wearing gloves and the phone doesn't slip out of my hand. I also wear dress pants, and I have noticed that with other cases they can tend to slide out of my pocket. With this case it seems the textured side helps keeps it in my pocket. I have no issues with using the USB C port or the magsafe charger. The cutouts are correct, and the camera button is still easy to access. The only button we have an issue with is the volume rocker. You really have to push hard to get it to adjust the volume. Not a deal breaker but can be frustrating at how difficult it can be at times. Overall, the case seems pretty solid and my other insignia cases have held up very well with a few years of use. My prior phone the 14 pro I had a clear insignia case and aside from scratches it still looks great and no yellowing. I have high hopes that this case will be similar as insignia makes a pretty good product.

Case for Iphone 16 Pro Max. This case is transparent, very clear and without any distortion. Its supposed to stay that way according to the box, and I hope it does. I do not like clear cases which not only shows scratches, but also 'yellows' over time. It has grips on the all sides with very accurately positioned buttons. It supports mag safe with the obvious circle, in white on the back, and the magnetic has a good strong hold when attached. The case is flexible but with just the right amount of flex so the phone can be installed and stay snug in the case. The textures and feel is flexible but with good protection for the phone. The structure of the plastic is quite thick. The camera cut outs has ridges to keep the camera raised and thus not easily scratched when on a surface. This is a very nice, well fitting case which seems substantial without being too bulky. The case does not hide the phone in it but does keep it safe from normal use and the occasional drops and bangs, supposedly up to an 8ft drop.

With the sleek and attractive look of the new iPhones, I look for superior protection that doesn’t detract from the looks of the phone. The phones are nice and thin, easily allowing them to fit in pockets, but only with a well designed case. Equally important is the fit of the case for maximum protection. I have tried a few cases for my new phone, but none of them are as snug as this Insignia case. The case is designed to give just enough room for a perfectly placed screen protector and a well designed camera lens. I had to replace my screen protector, as it wasn’t perfectly fitted. I highly suggest adding the screen protector after fitting the case. The outside edge of the case is ribbed for extra protection, yet thin and very comfortable to grip. The ribbed edges make it easier to hold without slipping. The edges around the front of phone are slightly higher than edge of the device, adding extra protection. The MagSafe properties work flawlessly when charging on a wireless charging stand. The grip is tight and sturdy when attached both vertically and horizontally. This is a very high quality case some really good features.

This case suffers from the same thing I've found in nearly every clear case. It picks up your finger grease and oils and just becomes slick in your hand pretty quickly. The MagSafe isn't quite as strong as I would like it to be too. Otherwise, it's a fairly OK case. The case slips on pretty easily. Nothing crazy here. All the buttons are accessible. Pressing the buttons requires more pressure than some other cases I've used, but it's definitely not the hardest to press either. It's in the middle and your preferences will dictate whether you like it or not so if you can find a case to test, that would probably be ideal. The biggest issue I have with this case is an issue I've had with almost every clear case I've ever used. I like having a little bit of tackiness on my cases so my phone doesn't slip out of my hands. After a day or so of use with this one, it had picked up enough of my finger oils that the back was pretty slippery. I think it's just a thing you need to deal with on clear cases so if you've enjoyed clear cases in the past, this might not be an issue for you. On a possible brighter note, this case is hefty enough to feel like it's going to protect your phone from your usual drops. I usually prefer slimmer cases and I didn't find this one to be crazy bulky or anything but it does have some bulk to it. One more minor issue I found with this case is the strength of the MagSafe. I have a MagSafe wallet and charging stand. I wouldn't say this was the weakest MagSafe pass through I've experienced in a case but it's definitely not the strongest. I found myself mostly double checking that my wallet didn't slip off of my phone. I haven't had it happen yet but compared to some other cases where the magnet really grips my charger and wallet, it was just something that was always in the back of my mind. Overall, it's not a bad case. I keep going back to a cheap case I got on Amazon right when I got my phone but I think this one will get rotated in when occasionally. I don't love it but I don't really dislike it either. If you enjoy the feel of clear cases, you might like it.
