i listen to pbs radio, but the area i live does'nt have very good fm reception.This radio brings in my favorite broadcasts that i can only get with xm radio.(I am dropping xm as the cost is too much for the few channels I listen to) The sound is not great,but I mostly listen to talk shows.This does the job much cheaper.I am satisfied.

I have a few of these as I like to listen to classical music and there are no over the air broadcasts here except on HD Radio. So I have one in several rooms in my home and have given them as gifts. They are a great price compared to early HD radios from 10 years ago, and the sound quality is fine for such a small portable unit. I do find that the battery life is short, so I use them plugged in after I find a location in the room with optimal reception. Very happy.

I bought this for work and love it. It is small, low cost, and gets great reception. I also can preset my favorite stations.

Began looking for an hd radio after purchasing a 2014 Chevy Impala that has an hd radio. Really enjoy the ability to listen to commercial free radio plus the many different station formats one can find. This Insignia product met all my needs and at a very reasonable price. The sound is ok, not great, but then again I did not pay hundreds of dollars for it either. I live 30 miles away from a large city and have no problems picking up channels with the built in antennae. Highly recommended.

Small size, battery life is good. Reception has also been good.

Needed a radio that would work in a office building. Other radios had troubles getting good reception. This radio works fine. Also needed to have a headphone jack. This radio has that too.

HD radio was the best purchase this music lover has made in ages. It's a one time purchase, makes it the awesome value. You get so many stations with NO fees or subscriptions. The sound quality is much deeper and richer than the tin can sound I previously had with my satellite radios (and I tried on multiple radios). I am now buying for friends and family (for some reason they are still not getting popular yet) and everyone has loved them thus far.

Great HD radio and would have given it 5 stars but it was a bit tricky setting up the "preset" channels. Other than that it has been just what I was looking for.

This radio is a good one with the exception of it does not have the AM band that's why I gave it a 4 star. On the flip side certain FM digital stations carry some of the AM band stations that I listen to in the Los Angeles area. I don't know if that's the case in other cities. I like the back lit screen so you can see the station channel at night and the audio jack input for Mp3 players

The Insignia HD tabletop radio has exceeded my expectations. The sound is pure and clear. Setting the preset stations was easy!

The Classical Music station has a fairly weak repeater on regular FM, but a good strong signal on the HD. The problem was to find an HD FM radio. This one does the trick. I bought two, one for work and one for home. It has an external antenna connection point as well so I picked up on an amplified antenna for work (a metal building with a shop next door that emits RF on the FM dial).

I needed a good quality HD radio with small footprint to use in the bathroom. This Insignia model is perfect for what I need. Excellent sound quality for listening to the news and for music. It can also be used with batteries for more portability or during power outages.

Excellent affordable HD Radio. Reception is quite good. Would be nice to have a dedicated audio out, but the headphone jack works as an alternative. It's hard to find any in-home HD Radio options at any price point- many higher end receivers don't even have this feature. I would recommend to anyone looking for an HD Radio.

Since this was a gift for my sister who lives 800 miles away, I haven't had the opportunity to see this item in person. But since she received it about 3 weeks ago, she's given me updates and really loves the radio. The sound quality is excellent, and it is very easy to operate.

One of the best purchases I've made. allows one to pull in a wider variety of stations than would otherwise be available on AM or FM alone. Plus, HD fidelity provides a strong, steady signal -- no more fading in and out!

For a workplace desktop radio, excellent -- reception is decent with two separate antennas, gets about 4 or 5 HD stations (most of HD offered in my area), and 20 presets makes it incredibly easy to store all my favorites. Definitely 5 stars.
