Decent Vr Cover if you need one today.

I bought this vr Cover (made by google) because it was supposed to be compatible with the oculus rift. I ordered a different one online but it was going to take 3-4 weeks for that to get to me and I wanted one when I began playing in VR. This cover costs $20 and it is worth the price. The fabric is very comfortable and is machine-washable. The cover is easy to install and fits almost perfectly. My cover has a little extra slack on the top corners of the facial interface and the fabric for the nose area does not reach all the way to the facial interface of the oculus rift. This isn't a deal breaker (for me) although it does apply some pressure on my nose and there is light leak between the fabric and facial interface. The light leak is similar to what you get without a cover but it is shifted slightly higher when the cover is on. The cover provides a nice feel and has some padding. It is very comfortable but the fit isn't perfect. I would recommend it.

    Definition of Mediocre

Grabbed this off the shelf to stick on my Rift, since it can get a little uncomfortable with prolonged use. Material is soft and comfortable and definitely goes a long way toward increasing the comfort of the headset during extended sessions. That being said, it took a bit of messing with the cover to actually get it situated on the headset, and even then the fit is tenuous and best. There's a lot of extra fabric to push around to get comfortable. It has a plastic tab that slides between the existing cover and over the head strap, and two rolled fabric/foam feeling sewn in in cylinders to the side that sort of press into the gap between the existing cover and the unit itself inside the sides. If you need something in a pinch, or you're having a party and are worried about face germs, you could do a lot worse than this. That being said, if you're willing to wait for shipping from somewhere in internet land, there are a plethora of better options to chose from.

protects from sweat, but with drawbacks

This is a great add-on if you trade a headset back and forth over long sessions (so you're not sharing sweat also). However, the fit leaves something to be desired, as well as the resulting comfort (or lack thereof). The biggest drawback however is that is sets the screen just further enough away from the eyes to increase quite noticeably the blue/yellow chromatic aberration and god-rays glare. I'll keep it around, but I'm only using it when i absolutely have to.

This is good for absorbing sweat and reducing chafing. However, mine doesn't fit like the one in the picture, especially in the nose area. It gets a little awkward and slips out of place at times. Overall, it does it's job, but I think there are better things out there.

Got this liner and installed. A little hard to get on. Was more hoping for more padding to get further away from inner lenses as I wear glasses. the Oculus head set needs a better accessory for this. Seems comfortable and the price is ok for what you get.

The cover did not fit the Oculus headset well, and I ended up ordering disposable covers from Amazon instead. If there is a better reusable option, I'd like to know about it.

Sorry to give this 2 stars but this did not fit well with my Samsung Gear VR Gen2 headset. The nose portion stretches across too tightly and doesn't allow the face to sit properly into the headset. I'm sure it would work fine with other headsets that have different proportions. The fabric is comfortable and soft and will help block out light that may filter in from outside the headset helping with the viewing experience. Great product for some, but just not with the VR Gear.

There are better solutions to the problem of comfort for the VR user. Comfort is necessary for long sessions of use.

This makes the headset feel more comfortable to wear over long periods. Without it, I feel the headset beginning to dig into my face. And when removed, marks are present outlining the headset on your face. This helps with that and adds comfort. A must buy with every headset.

I recently purchased the Oculus Rift headset, for the second time, due to the $400 special, with the Touch controllers. I previously tried the Rift but ended up selling it due to comfort problems. This time, however, I have the headset properly set up such that it is comfortable and this headset cover is a big reason for that. It sits nicely on my face and keeps the sweat away from the headset. It also stays nicely in place, although I do usually have to reinsert the plastic tab at the top each time I place the headset on my head. In summary, the cover is sold for a good price, it stays in place and it protects your headset from sweat and dirt. It also feel very nice against your face.

not really what i was expecting. Used it for a few minutes then took it off. It works if you can stand the bunching of the fabric right around the corners its kind of irritating... maybe its just the ones i got, haven't returned them yet but probably will.

This cover works great.... keeps makeup and oil from getting on the headset itself. However, it sometimes slips and moves off center, which can lead to light leaking in. Not a major problem, but worth noting.

Works well to keep sweat off the the foam on the Oculus, however, does make for a slightly tighter fit. Gets the job done.

This item takes a little fiddling to get it onto your Oculus or other device properly, but once it is on, it helps keep your headset from getting sweaty or covered in hair. Really, if you are planning on having multiple people use this for something like a party, it's a must-have. Machine washable and easy to remove/replace.
