    I have an older car that doesn't have a usb charge point. We were heading out on a 1200+ mile road trip, so I needed something to charge my Samsung Galaxy 5 in the car. . The Best Buy sales associate recommended this. I didn't know that I didn't have to have the same connection-end that my wall charger does, so I'm glad the sales rep suggested this--it works, and was exactly what I needed!

    This charger is great for our power hungry android phones. So many chargers only put out a paltry 1 amp, this one putting out 2.1 amps is a huge benefit, you can actually charge AND use your phone! My only complaint is the cord - it is a little short and the coil is so rigid it wants to pull out of your hand. May not be that big of a deal for some, but not my favorite thing.

    This was purchased to have a back-up charger in the car when the regular charger is not availble. Also, when away from the house and taking a lot of video and pictures, this charger can keep the phone up and running. If having to evacuate due to hurricanes, some things are forgotten or left behind. This insures the phone can be kept charged on the road, etc.
