Instead of shutting off it would just turn the heat off and then the fan would continue to run to where it actually made it colder in the room. I returned it and got a Honeywell instead and it works perfect.

The Safety switch on the bottom was a little frustrating, but safety first made it acceptable. However, it suddenly started blowing cold air (like a couple other reviewers) regardless of temperature setting, fan icons, and overall directions followed. I live far from the nearest Beat Buy, am handicapped, and it’s now the middle of winter. I’ll need to borrow or ask someone for help to stay warm until I’m feeling well enough to make another trip to the store. I’m very disappointed since I did research and read all reviews prior to purchasing this model. I’m very reluctant to consider or recommend Insignia heaters to anyone who truly needs heat during cold and difficult times.
