Remember, there are still quite a few over the air channels to grab with a good antenna, like this Insignia. Plug it in to the coaxial input, have the TV store the stations and suddenly you're watching ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, WGN, etc for free in glorious HD.

Stronger signal; no additional channels
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We are using this in a lower-level bedroom, that is below grade, but not underground by any means... it helped us get a stronger signal on the channels that were available, but it did not get any additional channels (which we know exist) and we still have "flickers" and digital interuptions, silence, etc. with the ones that we do get.

Good short range antenna

There is a PBS tower not terribly far from us however and while we can't get anything but PBS this works for the few times we may want to watch something on tv My guess is that in a more urban area this antenna would work very well.
