This is absolutely the tool to get the job done. I've bought 5 or 6 of these so far and I put them through a splitter so I can interview multiple people at once. The difference in quality of using this vs having someone hear all of the ambient noise is the difference between night and day.

I've used more high-grade lav mics and for something at this price range I'd say it comes in in a pinch. It's not gonna perform at the same level as some couple hundred dollar SHURE mic but hey, it does what it does.

This was the first mic I’ve ever purchased. It could not hook up to my camera because my camera didn’t have a jack, but I plug it into my phone and use the voice record feature. So far the audio quality is great for what it is!

I like this microphone and the sound is great. I dislike that you have to flip a switch for them to work with a Zoom recorder bc I have forgotten on numerous occasions to do so and realize after filming something.

I’ve used it for some videos and it works good for iPhone however sometimes it’s extra sensitive and you can’t really control the volume when recording. Gotta get use to it

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this mic performs in conjunction with a smart phone. If you find yourself needing to do an interview using a phone, but are worried about the audio quality, this device is for you. Smooth and rich audio makes a world of difference in the quality of the videos that I captured using it.

This mic was a good mic for a beginner in recordings or for those who would like to do simple YouTube videos etc. I would not recommend for in depth recordings, for documentary use or larger video projects.

As a youtube/vlogger, It's often hard to get good audio from my devices. This lapel mic comes right in and takes care of that for you! It has good sound quality and I haven't had any issues!

This lapel mic picked up voices easily, even when spoken lightly. Used to record speech and result was clear and easy to transcribe. Also worked well when connected to speaker system in large open space outdoors.

I'm a vocalist. Initially, I needed a mic to record my voice - without accompaniment - and send the file to my director. The Lapel mic performed well. The 2nd project - a different challenge - was to record my voice, with an accompaniment. I even bought a new CD player from Best Buy, hoping to get the best quality of sound from the new player when playing the accompaniment on a CD and recording BOTH using the Lapel Mic. The result was disappointing. It picked up my voice nicely, but not the CD playing in the background. I think I should have purchased a desktop mic. Advice is welcome!

I bought this microphone ffor an emergency recording and I was suprised with the audio quality of this microphone. Sure, there are better microphones, but at this price point, this mic is really good.

The GoPro adapter does not work with the 5 model. It takes some getting use to with knowing when to use the powered option. It did a great job picking up an interview with helicopters in the background.

I purchased this mic for podcasting during the Covid-19 crisis. The microphone works fine for what it is. It is an improvement from the mics in the camera. With a mixer board, you can get the audio as loud as you want. It gets the job done, however if you are looking for good crisp audio with good bass or clear vocal quality, you need to look at a different mic. It works fine and I will keep it as a back up, but I switched to a plug n play USB mic. That was a great decision.

I initially purchased this item for use with my GoPro but saw it was not compatible. So I put it to use for lapel recordings and it works great.
