||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this mic to record a production using a cell phone specifically for voice pick-up. The isolation was excellent, and it only got the voice and none of the ambient sound. Still, the vocal's had some very harsh "s" sounds, that I couldn't clean up. I had to do a ton of treble/bass correction to get the sound close to clean. In the end, I ended up mixing in ambient field noises back in to try to make it sound natural. However, the versatility and reach is exceptional, and I've been very happy using this for on-camera projects.

It is not super high definition but eliminates some of the background noise and gives a higher quality sound to interviews or situations where a desk mic isn't a good option.

As it is, I simply turn it down in my video software. It is clear and effective - as long as I remember to turn it on first.
