Works perfectly and easily setup. Since its RF it Does not suffer from time lag sometimes seen in bluetooth devices. Fits great and has good range. Would have been nice if it included an optical cable or if it had an optical out so you could place it inline with a soundbar but for this price point it is great.

These headphones for my TV have changed my life! I use them even when no one else is around because I can walk around my house and still hear everything that’s going on. I can even go out onto my porch to get firewood and still hear it all the way to the end of the porch. Once they got set up, it was easy; I just keep my TV on the set up for audio through the headphones. I have used them every day in the past couple of weeks since I purchased them!

Bought these as a quick fix while we looked for another wireless solution to replace a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones my father has been using for years. Turns out he's too happy with these to let me replace them with anthing else :-) .. We set them up using the Digitial Optical input rather than the standard RCAs and he says the sound is MUCH better than his old pair.
Compared to his older Sennheisers
Audio Quality - Better
Comfort - Better (more comfortable)
Ease of use - (getting them back on the charger correctly) - Sennheisers were easier but still not that bad
Setup - Was really easy
He uses the headphones for at least a few hours every day, so I have no reason to doubt his stellar review.

I bought the Insignia RF Wireless Over the Ear Headphones in black as a Christmas present to my husband. But actually, it was a Christmas present to myself because I now have peace and quiet to read/write in my journal in bed while he watches TV. I’m the type of person who enjoys silence to unwind at the end of the day. My husband is the opposite and wants the TV on all the time. At first we had trouble connecting the headphones because the TV in our bedroom did not have the proper plug in the back. We swapped the TV with another one from our guess room and it worked. The sound through the headphones is great even though we do not have a smart tv and do not have Bluetooth. The headphones look very classy sitting on the stand. The only thing I don’t like is that to turn them on, we have to plug something in on the back of the TV...maybe that’s due to the older TV we have. So if already in bed, we have to get up to do this. I still highly recommend these headphones.

Good sound A little difficult to get on the recharging stand. Volume controls are a little hard to feel on the headset as the controls are small. The headset has a good range of distance.

I use this wireless TV head set every day. It is very comfortable. the sound is great, and is easy to operate.
The best part is no one hears any sound except the user.
I would recommend this to any one that is hard of hearing.

Good sound comfortable head gear and easy to use. Plug and Play. Main drawback is that once it’s plugged in to my Insignia TV the sound to the speakers is interrupted until the jack is unplugged. This was disappointing. We bought the headset for a hearing impaired member of our family who enjoyed watching TV with the family on a similar SONY headset with an LG TV. Volume on the LG speaker was controlled by the remote when the headset was plugged in. There may be workaround for this problem but haven’t found one so far.

Easy enough to set up. Use them to watch TV at my own sound level. After using them for a couple weeks, they stopped working. For some reason, they lost their connectivity and had to be reinitiated! I'll remember that in case it happens again!

I love the way these fit on my head and the sound is very good, My only complaint is that they sometimes drop the connection to the TV and their battery life seems a little inconsistent.

I like these TV headphones a lot. They were easy to setup, are comfortable, and I can hear well with them. This is my second pair of this Insignia product, but it is updated. They did go up in price a bit, but worth it.

Mom’s Enjoying Her TV Shows Again!

Device setup was simple as it provided multiple ways to connect to your TV. Pairing was quick and had it up and running in about 15 minutes but did allow the headset to fully charge after testing. Couldn’t be happier as my Mom (86 years young) has lost about 45% of her hearing and struggled with clarity in voices coming from the TV speakers. Had even purchased her a sound bar but that only made things louder and not clearer. These headsets brought me to tears seeing the smile on her face when she put them on and said she could understand EVERYTHING the TV characters were saying!! Just wish I had purchased sooner!

they are very light weight, which was the main consideration for my mother-in-law. They do have kind of hard to see controls that are way to small for her to navigate but the sound quality is decent.

We cannot function without these due to noisy neighbors, so we put up with minor imperfections. This pair is our third set of this Insignia brand.
My only current issue is each time you start a new session of tv watching this particular headset comes on at full volume. I’m Turning them down before setting back on charging stand but again they come on full blast with my next use.
Not going to take them back, just going to learn to turn DOWN before putting them on, but it’s weird—the others NEVER did this.
—-These RF headsets are always quirky and affected by interference and often make weird electronic noises, but these are transient & intermittent and not a faulty set, just the nature of this form of signal transmission. (Been using this RF stuff for a decade.)
The previous set, after a year, developed cutting out of sound in one ear, so a loose connection but just FYI, there is NO WAY you can open the headphones or transmission base to look at or repair any solder connections. It’s made of ABS plastic that cannot be pried open—I really tried! With no screws even partly hidden ones, I suspect it’s glued or irreversibly snapped together, (I was too lazy to drag out a Dremel to see what is inside since my town was collecting electronics to recycle just for one day, so they got recycled. )
So don’t expect longevity in every headset, however with daily use there were no battery issues in my first 2.
And also these suckers are not easily broken since my screwdriver & pry bar made nothing but little gouges at the seams without ever getting the BASE station open. The headphones are equally sturdy overall. Not too heavy either.

Great Option for Sound & Easy Install

We purchased these to deal with TV watching and need to work from home. These headphone provide great sound. Installation was easy. The base immediately recognized the wireless headphones. We connected via digital audio cable. As our TV only had one digital audio cable port, we used a digital audio splitter to have the sound "travel" to three auxiliary pieces, including this base. The base & headphone sound is independent of the TV volume. They are comfortable. I was concerned that with the wireless connection there would be a lag in the sound; however, we have not noticed this. The control buttons on the headphones are small and somewhat difficult to see at they are the same color as the headset itself. The range is about 25 feet.

I purchased this set hoping to use the optical output of my Sony XBR650D series TV. When I connected the optical output of the TV to the Headphone base, all I got was intermittent static, I was about to return the unit, then I remembered there was an analog input, after connecting this to the output of the TV the headphones worked fine.
I can not determine where the problem with the optical output is, whether with the TV or the Headphones.
The headphones are slightly tight on me, I have to stop using after about 3 to 4 hours.
Range is 30-35 feet inside. Sound Quality is good.

This is my second set of TV headphones from this brand, which shows how much I liked the first. It was relatively easy to set up with an optical sound cord that has to be purchased separately. They do supply RCA cables if you want to go that way The sound is good and the adjustable headset is so much more comfortable than the last one.
I had to take off one point because of the volume control positioning. I have to take the set off my head to locate the Volume up and down buttons without hitting the Off switch instead. And there's another button down there, perhaps Mute, to be dealt with as well. But I would definitely purchase this item again.
